Datsyuk is above Z for sure. The Crosby answer made me laugh. Not because I'm blinded by my hatred for Crosby, just because I don't think he's that great defensively. Offensively, he's a beast though.

Lol. No. I've just seen some posts talking about how terrible the Wings' play has been this year and I thought "Geeze, I'm not THAT worried about it..."

You'd think that with the players being disappointed when picked to go and the rising number of fans who find the ASG a total joke, Bettman would at least look into reconstructing the whole idea. It's clearly broken.

I'm a little disappointed with this new tradition of coming out slow in the first and trying to win everything back in the third. I saw many things in last night's game that needed to be fixed, but I also saw a lot of our young players showing why they've made it to the NHL. (Helm, anybody?!) Anyway, I'm not going to chastise them for what they did wrong. That's Babcock's job. And there's no doubt they, and we, know already. Instead, I'm going to say that I hope - and believe - they'll turn it around. We're halfway through the regular season. I'm not losing my faith.

I can't find anything remotely appealing about Crosby. I'd have to be stupid to deny his hockey talent, but beyond that, he deserves absolutely nothing from the league. We all know why Gretzky was The Great One and it wasn't just because he could rack up a ridiculous amount of points. It was because he could do that and still be humble towards the opposition and respectful of the integrity of the game. He could get his goal in a game, and then he'd focus his energy on setting up his teammates so they could get their goals too. He didn't puck hog. He didn't trash talk. He didn't whine. And he didn't expect the league to wipe his ass after he took a big one. Crosby is the NHL's baby. They're waiting to wipe his nose when it gets runny and pat his head when he gets injured. Thing is, he has continuously shown a lack of respect for the game of hockey. I'm tired of seeing him skip a handshake because "I didn't know I had to!" I'm tired of hearing him downplay the play of others by making comments such as "well, it's nothing I couldn't have done." And I'm tired of Bettman constantly giving Crosby different rules than other players. (Last year's All Star Game, anybody?) How this childish punk became "The Next Great One", I'll never know. But as a fan of REAL hockey heroes, I find it incredibly insulting. /End rant.

I personally love this one. I would love to meet that guy IRL and tell him, to his face, what a complete and utter moron he is. This one is a real gem too. You stay classy, Calgary.

Howard was FANTASTIC in last night's game. I showed my boyfriend, who doesn't even like hockey let alone watch it, Howard's save on Danny Sedin... and even he was like "Wow. That is one of the craziest saves I've ever seen. That's amazing." Love to see him when he's got some confidence in him! Zetterberg really showed up at the end for the team - making some amazing plays and putting the pressure on as much as he could. Even Mule picked up his lackluster shooting and scored a goal. I wish we could've seen the effort from the 3rd on the whole game but we got the W and that's what matters.
