Man, I'm the opposite of most people here. I love early weekend games. I bartend so I end up having to work a lot of games. Have you ever tried changing the television station a drunk redneck is watching? Some bad experiences last a lifetime... I really hope the Hawks don't win. Partly because I want the Wings to win but also partly because I don't want their fans to come on here and fill the Chicago thread with how they "schooled" us. GO WINGS!

Steve Yzerman. And do I really need to tell you if he was a hero or a zero? My best friend's dad is a high up at Sun Microsystems. I guess they sell computer software to the Red Wings organization so he's met a lot of the players and has become good friends with a few over the years. He rented a suite that had Yzerman's Junior Hockey All-Star jersey on the wall. As I was looking at it, Yzerman walks in to say hello to my friend's dad - and then comes to say hello to me. He stuck around for awhile and watched some of the game with us. I found out later that my friend asked her dad to do it for a Christmas present for me. Best hockey game ever.

February 2nd is now my new favorite date.

My dad is a big fan of the "listen to the game instead" scene. But I just can't. I prefer to actually see what's going on. Listening to it on the radio alone doesn't get me as emotionally into the game as seeing it on TV does.

That's what I was thinking. We had to go to overtime with the CBJ to win. This team isn't Columbus. And I knew we'd either have to step it up or our injuries were going to stick out like a sore thumb. This is just terrible all around.

I have never watched a Pittsburgh feed before now. I wasn't even 30 seconds into it before I facepalmed the announcers. But I can't imagine other fans feel much differently about the Wings announcers.

Totally gotta be Stevie as head hero honcho. Lids is his trusty sidekick.

I'm glad Crosby is out. The Pens are always tougher when he's on the ice. If the Wings come out hard and play 60 minutes of hockey... and their veterans show why they've been in the NHL so long, we should win this game. That's what I'm hoping for. GO WINGS!!!

My guess is he's referring back to the ESPN Player Poll conducted in 2009. Among the questions asked of the players was "Which player complains the most on the ice?" 52% of player responses were Sidney Crosby.
