I agree with what you are saying as well. There are holes In the team at this time, but the season has only been over for a couple of weeks and free agency has only been going on for a week now. Let's just see what the team looks like when training camp opens. Remember, this team was in the running for the presidents cup with a couple of weeks left in the season. Lidstrum is irreplaceable.

I don't think we need to panic just yet. Think about what it feels like right now to be a Preds or Devils fan. They lost two franchise players. The Wings made their pitch, and Parise and Suter decided to go elsewhere. I agree that the Wings have a huge hole to fill on the blue line. Let's give them some time and come training camp, let's see who is out there. I'm glad they didn't try to lure Carle with the money he got from Tampa. Ideally, I'd like to see them go after Semin and Doan (to reasonable contracts), and see if they can trade for a top 4 defenseman.
