I didn't get to watch any of the game and just saw some highlights..who got hurt for us?

I thought he was the best player on the ice tonight...there were a couple of times tonight where he outplayed guys who are half his age!!

I just finished watching the first period of the game and there were a few things I noticed: 1. Every time Lemieux got the puck passed to him he was hearing footsteps bigtime!! 2. Holy crap was the clutching and grabbing bad 10 years ago 3. They bring up the fact that Feds is playing d alot in the first period..its ironic how Columbus has put him on d present time. 4. There is a shift with about 5 and a half to 6 minutes left in the period when Shanny and Mac are out there and hammering every Av's player they can hit!! 5. If Shanny could have put the puck in the net we would've been up about 4 after the 1st. 6. There a wee bit of a scrap at the end of the period

After the 2nd period he had the most ice time of any of our forwards..so much for easing him back lol

I was at the game last night and essentially the problem is that we are a 3 line hockey team right now. Only one guy on our 4th line played over 2 minutes which tells you that Babcock doesn't have a lot of faith in them!! Its tough to go out west on a road trip and play with 3 lines against teams like the Canucks and the Flames who will roll 4 lines for good portions of the game!! Anyways we played bad...they played good...we lost...onto the next game.

Gonna be there.....for once I can file a detailed report of the game for you guys after we win!! WIng's 4-2 Hell you might even see me on TV...I will be the slender 6 foot, 230lbs dude getting escorted out of the building for drinking too much green beer!!

Living on the west coast and getting to see alot of Burke manage a hockey team when he was with the Canucks I don't think he give's two s***s about what other people think about making this public. He is a great GM..he has balls...and is true to his word and his players. He wasn't going to give up the future for one big push this year when he know's this team will eventually have the potential to make a run for multiple years in a row!!

It's safe to say that on paper our second line just got a helluva lot better!!

The only sad part about us getting Big Bert is that we are down a couple of fans now because I remember a couple of people saying they would no longer cheer for this team if he came here!!

I agree with you that he is not worth a stinky water bottle but I do have this strange feeling about him...like if we traded him to a young team that is rebuilding he could be a 30 goal guy in this league.

Ill put it this way..would you rather see her dancing around in a MY NHL commercial or the alien twins from Vancouver.

This thread should've ended after this post right here.. you hit the nail on the head...its good to see that someone understands what went on...nobody can prove Moore's injury was a direct result of the punch... i feel bad for what happenend to Moore but the fact of the matter is there have been way worse incidents of violence in this league..crosschecks to the face..spears, stick swinging incidents, that dude on Nashville sucker punched someone this year..the only difference with those incidents and the Bert incident is that there was a freak injury. As for the people who claim they won't cheer for the Wing's if Bert shows up in Detroit..cya..and enjoy watching mens gymnastics or sychronized swimming or something!!

There are two guys with good streaks going on.. Morrison is playing in his 484th consecutive tonight I believe for the Canucks !! Like them or not its pretty impressive!!

Its a cool idea but the season is already too long and they play too many games as it is so I doubt that any owners or players would go for it!!

By listening to the satelite hot stove after the second intermission of HNIC last night it sounds like they are definetely going to switch the format for the all star game. There were no details given but it's been talked about!!

Get used to it..it's the norm around here.. every player we have here gets slammed except a few..there are some people around here who think that every big name free agent that comes on the market should be playing in Detroit.

Just read this on Eklunds site..if you scroll down a bit and get to Kevin Gibson's blog there is rumor of Malkin to Montreal for Ryder, Ribeiro, Souray, Aebischer and a 1st rounder!!
