I agree, Fil is as good as gone...don't think Cleary is going anywhere though
-
Yea because the spend the most money theory always works. Ask Philly how that worked out for them last year or Minny with Parise and Suter..missed the playoffs..missed the playoffs. Horton is a good player but he is also not just slightly concussion prone but very concussion prone and not exactly adverse to injuries.
-
Its also Holland's fault we have made the playoffs 22 straight seasons. What a loser
-
Clarkson is hot garbage at the amount and term he wants..Horton has already stated he wants to be in a non traditional hockey market ...I'm not sure if you have noticed but Detroit is not non traditional.
-
The rumored 3 years at 3 per for Dan Cleary is tooooooooooo much !!!
-
After how Gillis got snow plowed by the Devils earlier I would think everyone in the league would try and make a low ball offer lol

Canucks trade Schneider to Devils for 9th overall pick
puckbags replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
They traded the 1a goalie to a team that already has one of the greatest goalies of all time, Schneider has to ride the pine for a year to watch Brodeur play out his final year and now the Nucks are stuck with a goalie who clearly doesnt have much interest in playing for them......nice move Gillis..this just reeks or terrible and it looks so good on them. -
Jonathan Ericsson - should we consider trading him?
puckbags replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
You just used the word dope which I must say is pretty dope. If E has a good year he's worth 4.5-5 mil a year. If he has a great year and proves himself to be a solid top pair d man he's going to command 5+ and so he should. Get what the market will pay you. -
We should trade Cleary's rights for Horton's rights
-
Horton not re signing with Boston and Seguin on the block...either of those guys would look really good in red and white..wonder what they want for Seguin. as per Bob Mackenzie Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie4m Not 100 per cent yet but looks like Nathan Horton will NOT be back with BOS. B's talking trade and Tyler Seguin's name has been discussed.
-
Hillarious that the Canucks are now fielding offers for Schneider..what a total mess that is..they know they can't get anything for Luongo at this point and no one will take that albatross of a contract so it's panic time.

Signed Jakub Kindl signs 4 year extension, $9.6m total, $2.4m/yr

2.4 cap hit, I bet he out plays that contract for sure. I like the deal -
In hockey you thank each other for a great series at the end of the last game with the handshake..thats it..thats all

Brian Hedger @BrianHedger28m Bickell said he would consider giving #Blackhawks hometown discount to stay. Considers Chicago his second home.
-
Actually we paid Tootoo to ride the pine, the other 2 were hurt.
-
Could be a way for us to unload a forward also..our pick + a roster player or two to move up.
-
The fact is simple, our young guys proved they are NHL ready. Gus and Andersson should be full time NHL guys. Tatar needs to be playing in the show too. I don't think any of these 3 guys are border line anymore. I've always been on board with our managment almost over ripening players in the minors but I have to admit I'm over it. With that said we have too many forwards even with buy outs. We need to make a trade..prob Flip's rights for a pick so we can get our young guys full time play and sign a couple of guys.

The Penguins are about winning now, they have no desire to wait for their d prospects to mature. I do agree that Letang is overrated but I don't think they can afford to let him go.
-
Are you for real with this? lol...not everyone can just go d to forward like Burns can and have modest success. If Vince McMahon ever decides to go XFL style with the NHL I want you to be first in line for a GM job.

Dreger: Filppula looking for $5.5m/season over at least 7 years
puckbags replied to a topic in General
Brunner is on this team 100%, he faded a bit at the end of the reg season and had a decent playoffs, keep in mind it was his 1st year. Right handed shot who can score..not going anywhere. Holland has some tough decisons...Nyquist, Andersson, Tatar are NHL ready and need to be in the lineup next year. Hopefully Helm is healthy too...we have some depth for sure which is nice. Still need that top 6 guy though. -
