    I understand that he is young and that we need patience with this guy and I'm more that willing to watch him develop into the guy we all think/thought he can/could be but the 2nd round of the playoffs isn't the time to be patient...with that said his rope was almost gone and he had a big game today..lets hope he can keep that momentum going.

    If he plays that way against Toews and puts up some points we will be hard to beat. Hell I would be happy if he didn't score and just took care of Toews all series.

    I guess we belong in the same rink? What a great effort. Game on now ! i know shot stats don't always tell the story but 30-20 looks fantastic.

    Hopefully we only have to be in the SAME RINK as them 2 more times. We win tomorrow, take 2 at home and return to the Mutthouse on Madison to wrap up the series.

    Usually I would agree but after the way Smith played there is no way that White can play any worse. Bring White in and he will want to play good enough so he doesn't get sent back to the press box. I want a guy in there who isn't afraid to ice the puck or make the ugly play once in a while. I would much rather rely on our guys to win a faceoff after an icing then get caught in our own end for 90 seconds while the Hawks Harlem Globetrot us all over the joint.

    100% agree, we are not skilled enough at the back end anymore to finesse the puck out of our own end every time. We are removed from the days of Lids, Rafalski and even Stuart had a good first pass. We need to suck it up and hack it out a lot more. As soon as Chicago saw that we were going to wimp it up the boards every time they just started pinching their d almost every time. It's not rocket science.

    I am not at all suprised how Chicago played, they were fast, made great passes, put the pressure on our d and made us look bad, this is exactly how they played for 48 games. They are a very good squad. They played good, did the things they wanted and we played pretty bad. Bad combo. We will get better...Need to limit turnovers and shoot the puck alot more. We need 4 of our best games to beat these guys.

    Does anyone feel like it's time to split up the kid line? Not because they have been bad but because we could use some of that speed in the top 6. Cleary down to the 3rd or 4th and get Gus or Brunner up to the 2nd line. Ugly start but thats why they are seven game series

    We are going to need 4 of our very best to beat these guys and this isnt it thats for sure..hung around for a while and then fell asleep at the wheel..needed to make those pp's to count early.
