It's funny you say that because if we win a one goal game against someone you see as sub par you ***** because we should have beat them by 12 goals but when we lose one goal games losing is still losing. Basically what I'm saying is that if : Losing is losing then winning is winning right? 2 points is 2 points, 0 points is 0 points? Haha, sometimes it's comical to me and other times it just gets old. There seems to be one person with about 3 or 4 accounts..it's kinda obvious. There is being critical of your team and then there is just being a fairweather ****** canoe.

I have one thing to say to dudes coming up Kronwall's side of the ice..... KEEP YOUR HEAD UP !
-
I agree, with our full squad healthy and working hard we shouldn't be scared of anyone, especially Nashville. In the passed 20 years we have played lots of physical teams. Cue the cliche here but if we are on our game no one can beat us physical or not. If we are moving the puck well it doesnt matter how physical teams try to play. If anything I think we force teams to play less physical when we are on our game because teams know we aren't going to get into the stupid s*** and if they want to put the Wings on the power play all night it will come back to hurt them.

They usually do, thats why the importance of picking up as many points as possible when you are healthy is huge.
-
I have to agree, Kindl and Ericsson (when healthy) will be in the press box watching come playoff time. Not a bad problem to have though. Smith is too good to be not playing at this point.

Depleted lineup at practice...here are the lines they used Wings' lines at practice: 51-40-26, 20-43-93, 96-8-39, 48-41; 55-23, 27-18, 2; 31-pearce Short 1 forward, 1 d man and a goalie...good times

Oh we are in 4th? 1 pt out of first and 2 pts out of 1st overall? We should probably panic lol
-
Lmao..you make it sound like we just fell out of the playoff race. Did we go from 2nd to 2nd? Am I missing something?
-
The good news is Eddie O won't be anywhere near the commentary for our game.

I read that too and was like wtf is this guy on about? Season is over before the playoffs start? So confused. I've never been able to figure out this whole travel thing. These guys fly on private jets, get treated like rock stars, stay in the nicest hotels, eat the best food, sounds really tough to me. Rarely if ever do you hear the players ***** about travel, its usually the media or the fans who use it as an excuse. Obviously it would be nice to play all 82 games withing 15 minutes of their 2 million dollar houses but I think its way over hyped.

My only comment about Smith so far is that this kid should never play another game in the AHL.

Cue up the Globetrotters music !

Buttman is probably wishing for another work stoppage so he can have some more time to figure out how to keep the Coyotes in Phoenix.

I have seen some funny stuff in the Roxy, one night after a Columbus - Vancouver game I saw Chimera( when he played for CBJ) almost pound the hell out of some guy for getting in Nash's face. The funny thing is that it was a Vancouver bar and no one wanted to mess with Chimera. Another night I saw Cloutier get booed when he walked in there lol. He was with Matt Cooke, they had one drink and left. Tough crowd.

The guy sure as hell can't wear it on those sausage fingers lol

My favorite show of all time. There is some slow spots in the show but it all has a purpose for the big build up. Interested to know what everyones top 5 shows all time are. 1. Breaking Bad 2. The Wire 3. Sopranos 4. Entourage 5. Boardwalk Empire Once I finish watching Entourage I am going to start on Game of Thrones I think. Any other recommendations?

I can't disagree with this, he isn't the same guy without him.

I would not like to be in that dressing room between periods..Babs looks like he's about to blow a gasket lol

Good thing your useless predictions don't hold any weight around here or we would go 0-82.

Get used to it lol

2012 NHL Trade Deadline Thread - February 27th, 3:00 PM ET

Who asked you to lower your expectations? It might be a good start to set out some realistic expectations though. I know this team has a shot to win every year, some years more then others but even my undersized brain knows it's not going to happen every year. For the first time in 20 years this team has to look ahead at the big picture with impending retirements and free agents leaving. Most teams arent good enough to plan for the future as well as make a run at the cup, its usually either one or the other. If I was a new fan to hockey and logged on this site today you would think we were in 11th in the conference and trying to make a run at the playoffs. -

I don't get this one either, trading away a guy who is scoring mostly playing on the 3rd line seems strange. I know what the Nucks are trying to do here but do they not have enough grit already with Bitz, Weise, Lapierre, Kesler and even Burrows? When you trade away a guy like Hodgson who is potentially a 30 goal scorer in this league for a plugger who has played 27 games in the NHL you better know what you're doing if you're Gillis. -
Im quite content with Holland not overpaying today, we have a legitimate chance at winning the cup this year but we have so much security/cap space for next year if Lids and Stuart move on I think it's set up really nice. That being said (not knocking your lineup) but if all that beautiful money that we have for next year gets spent on Winchester I will lose my 20 years of patience with Mr. Holland lol

Fair enough if you've been a fan for 4 years but if you've been a fan for 15-20 years you will know that there are years you win when you are supposed to and there are years when you win when the optimism isn't quite so great. Is this the greatest squad we have taken into the playoffs in the last 15 years? No, its not but it sure as s*** isn't the worst. -

2 options : 1. Continue to ***** about what we did or didnt do and cry like babies or.. 2. Buckle up, be a good fan and support the squad we have and watch this team make another run at it !
