If you don't score top shelf you can always try and go five hole !!
-
From what I understand they were moved to different seats after the altercation, they weren't kicked out because I think we can all agree from watching that they didn't deserve to be.
-
The thing that really has me worried is that this looks way too familiar to the first 40 games of last year. Bad passing, no intensity, injuries...lets sort it out.

Ericsson, Abdelkader & Draper remain sidelined

Depth !!! -
I can't believe that lineup that they are putting on the ice, they obv still have some great young players but wow what a dismantle job.
-
Once Dats started throwing punches back it that little weasel I think it suprised the s*** outta him. I'm so glad I only had to tolerate Perry for 2 weeks during the olympics last winter because I really dispise that little prick !!

More waiver guys, No real suprise here I suppose. My link

Haha it's all good. I was just being a smartass, time for more coffee I think. Waiver wire fodder is what he is then . He seems to know his role in the organization and correct me if I'm wrong but he doesn't seem to ***** about his circumstance which says alot for him.
-
I agree. It's too bad things didn't work out here but hopefully he has a good year there. Believe it or not the Wings organization would be flattered to see guys that they helped develop do good in other places. It only breeds respect (not that the organization needs anymore) to have guys excel elsewhere. ie. Leino and hopefully Ritola.

Thanks Steve, I knew he had been put on waivers almost a month ago and cleared. So now he just goes through the same process again obviously. Why exactly did you respond then?
-
Meech was waived last week and it`s just getting reported now?
-
Kind the end of an era with Maltby possibly leaving but I think his time has more than run its course here. Possible he gets picked up by someone for his experience.
-
Ritola joins Stevie in Tampa as per Bob MacKenzies twitter ! bob macs twitter

The other big problem for Lilja is that his visa runs out on October 10th which means if he doesn't find a job by then he will be force to leave the country. Here is the link to the TSN article. I don't see it posted here yet. Lilly Pads

Haha, its funny, we talk about waiving decent players like Ritola and Miller because we are too deep and don't have enough roster space. Hordichuk and Rosehill get waived because quite frankly they are terrible. Maybe we can get Rosehill and Hordichuk both signed and then we can get Downey back and the 3 of them can sit on the bench all night and try to figure out how they are going to put all 3 of their brains together and come up with one decent working brain.
-
According to Bob Mackenzies twitter he has been placed on waivers.
-
He was waived for a reason, he's a terrible hockey player, good fighter and fearless but not worthy of wasting a roster spot on.
-
Who wants to pay that kind of money for a guy who obviously has problems following him around .
-
If we can stay healthy and run 4 lines for most of the reg season we are going to be scary come playoff time. The ability to not have to over play our top 6 will be huge come playoffs. I look at all 4 of those lines and have no problem putting any of them out at anytime in any situation.

Your name is a joke right? Wings over Pens

Guys with serious concussion problems have no bargaining power, they never have and never will. He could get hit in the head with a pillow the wrong way and get a concussion and never play again. He should've taken what he was offered and kept a job. Now he's going to be heading to the Siberian Dog Sled league to play. Who is his agent?

The single biggest scapegoat of the Red Wings in the last 20+ years...
puckbags replied to stevkrause's topic in General
Curtis Who? I mean obviously a great goalie and I like the guy but he reserves a very small part in my memory in my 20 years as a Wings fan ! -
Once the clock hit 0.00 and they won the cup there hasn't been one thing thats happened with that franchise that has been smart. Every move they have made has been out of pure necessity. They sold out to win the cup and I will give them credit for one thing...it worked. I know around here we get mad that we dont win the cup every year but I will take what we have had over the last 15+ years over what they had for one year any day of the week. In my 20 years as a Wings fan it has been awesome to grow up watching guys who stuck with the team for years ..(Yzerman, Shanny, Lidstrom, Draper, Maltby, Ozzie, Homer). The fans in Chicago were just starting to become fans of some of these guys and they are already out the door. Granted they still have some great young talent there but we will just have to see how things pan out around there.

At his age that would be tricky. The good news is if he signs in Detroit he will only have to play on one line and we will pay him with real green backs !
