Well if you like roller coasters then I guess we are all cheering for the right team because this has been one helluva roller coaster ride this year. Lets just hope the roller coaster doesn't completely de rail !

I don't think its quite time to talk about missing the playoffs yet but this team better at least locate their golf clubs, dust them off, get a good supply of balls and tees and put said bag of golf clubs by the front step of their million dollar houses to remind them that if they don't get their s*** together quick those golf clubs will be getting an extra 2 months of use this year. Oh and just for the record I LOVE THIS F**KIN PLACE AFTER A LOSS, not as much as I love my wife, kids, family, crown royal, prime rib or sex but pretty damn close. Comical stuff !

Exactly, it's called adversity and many people around here have never been faced with it being a fan of this team. 20 years I've been a fan and I look back and see how spoiled I've been. A rash of bad luck and injuries, some under performing and we are fighting for a playoff spot. It's funny though, get on a good run for 20 games and then pick that magical 2 month window to play our best hockey and we could be hoisting the cup again.

So typical of the way this year has gone, playing great should be up 3-0, bush league call scrrews us and they come back and score!

Nobody is amateur anymore, are you trying to tell me Shaun White is amateur, they all get paid, most of the american athletes don't even have to work, Canada isn't much better. The olympics are now about the best athletes in their sport. I tried to explain this to you the other day but it's quite obvious you dont get it. They all get paid, some more than others.

Are you serious, that argument has been beaten to death. I grew up a huge Stevie Y fan. Thats how I became a red wings fan. Half the team is euros, half the fans drive across the bridge from Canada, they are paid in American dollars. That argument is just stupid.

Ok, then going by your theory and the fact you have 10 times as many people as us I would`ve hoped that you would`ve gotten a few more medals. THe USA the best country in the world spends more money on their athletes than any other country, s*** most of your athletes don`t even have to work, they freeload off your tax money so they can train all year long and then they don`t even win that many golds. But I mean if you like to settle for 2nd or 3rd thats your call.

Like Ricky Bobby said in Talladega Nights `first or last". Nobody gives a flying s*** who came 2nd and I can guarantee they won't care or remember who came 3rd. I don't give a s*** about the silvers or bronze we have won. It's all about the gold ! And if you are implying that this years olympic tournament has been played like an all star game then you are obviously as dumb as you sound the other 99% of the time on this site ! And in 1952, I wasnt born so I don't really care, Live in the now, you sound like a Habs fan living for the Stanley Cups they won many moons ago!

I didnt read the whole thread so i don`t know if this has been said but I cheer for the logo on the front not the name on the back so come Sunday afternoon after Perry, Pronger, Crosby all score goals in gold medal victory I can go back to hating their guts soon after !

Funny that the 51st state has more gold medals than a country with 10 times as many people. And to top it off we will set the recored for most golds in a winter games with our win tommorrow !

It's gonna be really hard to like some of these guys for the next 2 weeks but when they put on the Maple Leaf there is no choice !

Why not? If you put that much faith into signing them to those ridiculously long deals then why not just throw a NTC at them too?

Some of us have jobs where we cant be on this site 24/7 365 so when someone asks you a question either answer or don't answer it if you have a problem with it. BTW thanks for your help.

I'm at the point where we could put a bunch of plumbers on defence. I don't care if they can't make a pass for 5 feet. As long as they can cover people and get the damn puck out!

I know we are down 2-1 but I tell ya if we finish 7th or 8th and get the Sharks, bring them on, we seem to match up good against them. Man is our d zone coverage soft, we need some good postional d men on this team, my patience is wearing thin with guys like Ericcson and Raf

We need to make a run, simple as that, am I encouraged by our recent play that we can do that? Not so much, but giving up on them now which many have done is ridiculous, now is the time to be fan more than ever. People have to learn that things dont always go the way we want. We have been spoiled and our expectations are high but sometimes un realistic. To the fans who are sticking with this team lets all get on the roller coaster for the last 20 games and watch this team make the playoffs!
