Sticking with the Swedish theme I hope the Canucks play themselves right out of a playoff spot because I would like to Ohlund in a Wing's uni. Good defensive d man, good pk'er, good first pass out of his own end. He is a UFA at the end of the year but I'm not sure we have the room to sign him.

That would make great sense to help out or defensive problems...trade for quite possibly one of the worst defensive denfencemen on the face of the earth !!

There should never be any question about Downey's skill level. He would be the first one to tell you that he is a plugger and purely an energy guy, good team guy and a fighter. I think Holland is probably trying to get a few of these guys up while he has the space with Stuart on LTIR.

Can one of you really smart people fill me in on the exact dates of our losing streak around this time last year because this feels very similar. We all know how that panned out !!

Great hockey game...end of story!!

I love Ozzie and Conks has played above the rim this year but we would be absolutely scary if we had a guy like Luongo, Miller etc.....between the pipes. If we had a guy who could steal us a game we could open it up even more which would be pretty damn frightening for other teams !!

Its pretty simple with our goalies...they rarely steal a game...they stop the shots they should but hardly ever do we see either of them make incredibles saves that other goalies do. The reason for this is because they dont have to make them very often because we are that good. Should be a hell of a third...great hockey game !!

I will tell you this for free right now. If Conklin continues this pace and gets 30 wins and 8-10 shutouts there is no way on earth that he is going to settle for 1 million dollars. I dont care how good the team is that he plays on, those kind of numbers are worth more than 1 million dollars in this day and age !! If he won't get the money in Detroit I'm quite sure his services will be wanted elsewhere.

Ahhhh...the Victoria Salsa...oh the memories....From day one of getting the team the name and logo was the laughing stock and the topic of many jokes around this city. It would be like Illitch changing the name of the Wing's to the Detroit Pizza's !! The site says that it is still the present name but the for the love of god they changed the name of the team a couple of years ago to the Victoria Grizzlies which (a) makes for a better name and logo and (b) makes alot more sense for this area of the world !! Great site...thanks for the laugh !!

Im not saying that Markstrom isn't a good goalie or isn't going to be one in the NHL. He was more concerned about flopping all over the ice then stopping pucks. As for Hedman....It's common knowledge that he was not very good for the whole tournament. Once again i'm not saying he isn't going to be a great d-man but he had his chance to show it on the biggest stage tonight and he didn't.

As for the original question its hard to tell but I will tell you one thing..after watching Hedman play in the gold medal game tonight I dont see what the big deal is with this guy. Big players show up in big games and he was terrible tonight !!

At the end of the day it's simple, Sweden was outplayed, outmuscled and outclassed, GOLD FOR CANADA, silver for sweden. They did alot of s*** talking prior to this game but did very little to back it up. Markstrom was a joke and Hedman, well Hedman easily played himself out of a top draft pick. He was terrible !!

I work for them 82 times a year and minimum 16 times in the playoffs. Its hard work being a fan !!
