Work ethic...end of story !!

Typical game from the Wing's this year, we played 20 minutes of good hockey and we almost won. It would be scary if we put out a 60 minute effort every night. The first 2 periods we looked bored and disinterested. The only thing that is keeping these games close is our talent. We need to get back to the hard work that won us the cup last year. Anyways, hopefully we pick it up on Thursday it should be a fun one against the SHarks !!

I like winning....PERIOD !! Pretty or not at this time of the year I dont care !!

Nothing the Sharks do between now and the start of the playoffs means jack s*** to me...if and when they can win come playoff time they will get my respect but until then no !! You saying or hinting that us winning the cup last year was a fluke is one of the silliest things I have ever heard in my life. As for changes to the lineup this year I think we will make some like we do every year around the deadline but suggesting at the 30 game mark when we are 19-5-4 that Holland is going to make any big changes to a lineup that essentially won us the cup last year is wishful thinking if you are in that crowd. I would like to see Helm playing for the big squad full time but I'm not sure how it works with the cap and I also think it is going to be good competition for the 6th d man spot with Chelios coming back if he is healthy and can give us some good minutes. Like every year I'm not going to panic, its an 82 game schedule with its up and downs and I know how good this team is and what we can do when the games really count !!

Lol..it would seem that way wouldn't it. This place makes me laugh, we are essentially 19-9, I dont know where most of you are from but that is tickling the 70% level. Im not an idiot..I think we can play better but the fact of the matter is that we have such a good team that we can look bored for half a game and still win. The people who are giving the Sharks the cup already make me laugh too. THE SHARKS DO THIS EVERY YEAR, THEY ARE LIKE A DRUNK GUY HAVING SEX, AWESOME AT THE START BUT NO FINISH !! Is it a big game for us against them next week? Yes of course it is but do you think if we lose 6-1 this team is going to panic and mail it in for the rest of the year. This Wing's team is bunch of solid professionals, they know they need to pick it up a bit but as long as they play their best hockey at the right time of the year the will be hoisting the cup again !!

If Kenny can rush this thing we should have Floppa signed and in the lineup by tommorrow night. If Floppa is playing we win by 36 goals........easy !!

I'm not panicking by any means but we need to find a way to keep the puck out of our own net...I thought we played a pretty good period but they get 3-5 decent scoring chances and score on 3 of them. Stuart, Kronner and Lilja need to step up on these young kids and give them a couple of good hits too...Toews, Sharp, and Kane look cocky and confident out there.

I was at the game last night and when it comes right down to it we were just sloppy. Way too many give a ways at the blue lines at both ends. The Canucks dumbed the game down pretty good by not fore checking for most of the game and just sitting back. I love our puck control style but its games like that last night where we have to dump the puck in more if they are going to clog it up. Its games like last night where Homer and Cleary would have been key for us to dump it in and get in the corners on the forecheck. I find it pretty crazy that we can play that sloppy, outshoot a team by double and still should've won the game. Wing's best player:Ozzie and Hossa (not even close last night, this guys is as strong as hell and so alert at both ends of the ice) Wings worst player : Rafalski - I dont know what it looked like on tv but live this guy made a bunch of really questionable decisions and bad passes. I like Raf but he almost looks too comfortable sometimes playing with Lids. Anyways..tough loss, but I will say one thing...getting these single points could be huge at the end of the year if the Conference or Presidents trophy race are tight. !!

Ill be there and lets hope they light Sanford up !! I'm gonna try and get their early and take some good pics. If any of them are any good I will post them. Here's to hoping we pound the Canucks !!

I dont think Kenny loses much sleep over the decisions he makes, he rarely if ever makes a bad one and even if Quincey continues to excel a move had to be made and thats the one he decided on. BTW..I'm happy Quincey is playing well.

Setoguchi is playing with Thornton and Semin is playing with OV so those two would be my prediction !!

This place sounds like circa last winter when we went on a losing streak...people were jumping off buildings..playing fantasy gm and trading the whole f***in team...blaming anyone they could and then whadda ya know we straightened it out played great hockey and went on to win the cup. For f*** sakes people be glad that this is happening in November and not come playoff time. Plenty of time to figure this out, it will happen, we will play better and we will win the cup again !! if we were 2-3-9 it might be time to start looking at some roster moves but we are 9-2-3 and still have our heads way above water amidst our medicore defensive play !! Chill out ........

This place is bi-polar in its truest form......14 games in and its a mental hospital in here....Am I concerned about our defensive play and goaltending? Kyle Wellfed has been very good, he has great hands and when he gets into spots where he can use those hands he is a very good player.

I've never been a Lilja hater but the worse Lebs plays the better he makes Lilly pads look!!

Giving up? We are 11 games in, I would hope that even the most fairweather fans wouldn't be mailing it in yet. This is so funny because I remeber the epic losing streak of 2007-2008 and how many people were jumping ship...and then after we started to win in the playoffs they slowly started coming back to lgw with their tails tucked between their legs. I could name names but they know who they are.

Their roster changes every year, but every year they continue to fail. The media and analysts pump their tire at the start of every year but I will say it again..and this time I will put it in caps for you...TALK TO ME COME PLAYOFF TIME !!

I think its funny that we are 7-2-2 and have played less than average...can you imagine what our record would be if we would've been playing good all year? The sign of great teams is when you can get wins when you arent playing your best. As for the Sharks...I will say it again...they look good but talk to me come playoff time.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...Has anyone noticed this year that some of the teams we have played this year are trying to control the puck more instead of bashing it in the zone every time. The Sharks are a prime example tonight...there have been many times when normally they would just hack it in but have made an extra pass to control the play.

I guess me and D-Mac will have something in common tonight because if we don't turn it around in the 3rd I might have to get involved in a late night bender !! I am not disagreeing about what you said about their ability to play hockey, I just think wishing a career ending injury on anyone is a little much.

I 100% agree, I can't believe I used to stick up for Lebda..he has been terrible.
