I respect your opinion but I dont think Leino is going to be on the big squad this year...for one the Wing's never rush anyone to the NHL. I dont think there is a chance that the kid will getting a spot on the 3rd line and the coaching staff wont want him playing 4th line minutes when he can go to Grand Rapids for a year and get a ton of ice time that he needs in the North American game. I think he may get some games with the big squad if there are injuries and such but he will start the year in Grand Rapids unless he has an absolutely unreal training camp and they think he deserves a spot on the 3rd line.

There is a very good chance that we could have 4-5 30 goal scorers on the team next year ( hossa, z, franzen, dats and maybe even flip). There is also the chance that if Dats plays with Hossa all year he might only get 20 goals and have about 70-80 assists. Damn I cant wait for the season to start.

A couple of the ladies got a little rowdy at the end of the game..two match penalties were handed out. I guess I would be pretty pissed off if I finished -36 for the game

I've said this before...what a luxury to have for Babcock...you could take our top 9 forwards put their names in a hat and pull them out and you couldn't really go wrong with any combos. His biggest decision is going to be how to put a 4th line together when if you look at most other teams in the league by the time it gets down to building a 4th line its usually left over table scraps.

All I know is I could look at that shiny trophy in enemy territory all day long...dang it looks purdy !! As for Chellis singing...ive heard alot worse at Wrigley before !!

I love what he say's about the Sharks...same old story..they get pumped up beyone belief in the off season and then they fail !!

The Canucks gave this guy lots of chances, they briefly tried playing him with some top players but Fedor has the work ethic of a greasy slug on your sidewalk. He is tragic in his own end of the ice also which makes it seem more strange that a team like the Devils who are generally known for their good defence would take a shot on him.

There are a couple of places that visiting teams stay at when they play the Canucks. One of them is hotel Vancouver and I can't remember what the other one is.

Obviously he couldn't make this team overachieve !!... unless you determine that coming 13th in the weaker conference is over achieving.

Why is it a dumb move? They were 13th in the conference and Snow stated that they had differing ideas on which way the team was headed. At least Snow had the balls to give some valid reasons on why it was he fired him. Once again I don't think it's ever that bad of a move to fire a coach whos' team came in 13th.

A guy I work with is a Canucks fan and he told me today that the Nucks are going to win the cup next year , naturally I just laughed at him and asked him if he wanted to make a little wager on it. I gave him 10 to 1 odds on a 100 bucks. I have the other 29 teams and he has the Canucks. What a maroon, that is the easiest 100 bucks ever.

I agree with Dallas being number 2, they are coming back with pretty much the same defence, they didn't lose anyone really and they didn't acquire anyone. Plus the fact that Boucher and Zubov missed large parts of the season which in turn gave some young guys some good ice time. If those two can come back and stay healthy which at their age is a big question than the Stars defence will be just fine.

Amen brother, these 2 idiots are constantly contradicting everything they say, and now they are bitching back and forth at each other sounding like a couple of 12 year olds arguing over who's dad has a better job. The more this league goes on the more the one year of hockey we lost seems totally pointless. I might have my homer glasses on but their has been one GM in this league who seems to have this situation figured out and that is Holland. Get a good core, have great scouting, draft well, pick a style and build around it. These 2 ass clowns have no idea.

QFT, It seems that young players are getting paid for their potential and not for what they have already done in the NHL and if that trend continues then Flip should get in the 3-3.5 million per year range because he has a great upside.

I was just over on the Canucks boards and they are saying it was mentioned on CKNW which is a local radion station that they are going to make the offer. This is the Canucks we are talking about though, they will find a way to f*** it up !!

For all the wrestling fans out there I would like to quote Ric Flair... " To be the best, you have to beat the best !!"....wooooooooooo Until someone beats us in the playoffs we are still the champs and I will gloat, brag, tell people off, predict we will win the cup next year etc........... This is essentially the same team we won the cup with but we replaced Drake with Hossa, I love The Drake but cmon it is hard to argue with what we have here. Our team chemistry is 2nd to none, Our work ethic is 2nd to none, our skill level is 2nd to none. I will be more than gladly eat crow if I have to but this team is dynamic and are going to be very hard to beat barring injuries or other strange circumstances.

Let me get this straight, we have the rest of the off season, training camp, pre-season, and 50 regular season games and we are talking about next years trade deadline. Thats like me wondering at 29 if I'm going to need Viagra when I'm 67 years old. I'm still celebrating the Stanley Cup victory and half ass paying attention to the side show that this free agency period has been so far. The trade deadline is so far from relevant right now it's not even funny.
