I love it when people say that Osgood isn't that good of a goalie and that his 2 previous cup wins were a product of the team he played for...DUH..no s***...ya can't blame Ozzie for playing on good teams. What is he supposed to do?...decline playing for the Wing's because they are too good. Some people tend to forget that it can be hard to only face 20 shots a night. He stays mentally sharp and ready to make the saves that they need him to make every night. With the stingy defensive style we play we don't need him to make 50 saves a night, we need solid, situational goaltending and thats exactly what Ozzie will give ya!! Nobody can argue with 3 cups, 2 of them that he earned as a starter. If its Ozzie and Howard next year I think we can all feel pretty confident that Ozzie will be solid and provide some solid mentoring for J-Ho.

Its too bad we are so deep with prospects on defence because there is a few guys on that list who would look pretty damn good on our blue line ( Green, Boumeester, Weber). Oh and yeah..Flip ain't going anywhere!!

I ordered a shirt and a hat an hour after we won the cup and my stuff is on back order !!

Being from the west coast of Canada in Canucks land it is hard enough to find Wing's gear during the regular season so I had to bite the bullet and buy the hat and shirt from NHL.com....2 hours after I ordered them I received an email saying they were back ordered !! :flamingmad:

There are alot of people around here who need to eat some serious crow, some of them will admit it but most of them will just try to blend in, There was Allgaloch, some dude named Reilly, Young Guns was pretty bad, even that Chaldean dude...I have a huge list but I'm too drunk and too happy to lean on these fairweather clown shows tonight!!

Call it however you want but I know for a fact half of the officials in the league would've blown the whistle on Z's game winner, whover that zebra was, he was in great position to make that call and thank god it went our way!!

Being drunk and having a VISA after your team wins the cup isn't a good thing !! I just dropped some coin on a hat and t-shirt !! If I was ever going to over pay this was the time!!

I would like to dedicate this win to all the real die hard fan's out there. You know who you are !! Not the people who jumped on and off the bandwagon all year. I'm talking about the people who were here during the winning streaks and the losing streaks. The people who stick with this team through both the good and the bad are the ones who should/will appreciate this the most!!

Im from Victoria also and a long time member of this forum...let it be known...I will celebrate hard for the west coast of Canada...i know there are some other west coasters out there too!!

I'm reverting back to an old superstition..this is my one and only post in the GDT. I just put on some Detroit Rock City...cranked it up loud !! ....poured my first drink and I hope that the next time I talk to you all we are the Stanley Cup Champs !! LETS GO WINGS!!!

I'm looking at this as much as it hurts in a reality sense : Reality#1 - As much as Pens fan's on some people on this board seem to thing we are still winning this series 3-2. Reality#2 - We have outplayed the Pens for all but 3 or 4 periods of this whole series and we out played them by a ridiculous amount in the last 2 periods of reg and all of the OT last night. We ran into a red hot goalie and there isn't much more we could do last night to win that game. Reality#3 - Game 6 is in their barn and they seem to have all the momentum right now but we can squash that momentum in heartbeat if we come out hard and score the 1st goal. Reality#4 - We are the best team in the league, we are built on skill and experience and I feel very comfortable that this team will play a good game tommorrow night!! Will it be enough to win the cup? I sure as hell hope so!!

I've said it once and I'll say it again... I will never question the kids offensive talent but man oh man does Cindy have alot of growing up to do as an all around hockey player and as a person !!
