We had a tough 1st period tonight, took too many penalties and they stole some of the momentum back. I thought we played very good in the last half of the game and hopefully we can carry it through to Saturday night!! The Pen's have made it a series and they do deserve some credit.

Its pretty simple so far...we are just plain as day outworking them!! We have our feet moving at all times which will always deter the ref from making a borderline call. If you are standing still and reaching out with your stick you go to the box for 2 minutes and you feel shame!! When you are skating hard the refs will almost always give you the benefit of the doubt!!

Malkin really reminds me of Jagr in a sense, when they are on their game their skill is incredible but when things aren't going their way they are invisible and they become visibly frustrated and take silly penalties!! Don't get me wrong, I would expect that some time in the series Malkin will bring his A game but last night wasn't that night for sure!!

It's been a total team effort defensively tonight and Lids and Raf as well as Stuart and Kronner have been awesome as always but I would like to give out some appreciation to Lilly Pads and Lebs tonight, they have done everything asked of them tonight!!.............................so far

Big difference, the Oilers of the 80's were able to keep that team together because there was not salary cap. There is no way the Pen's will be able to keep this team together for very long unless some guys take some serious home town discounts which we all know nowadays isn't likely to happen!!

If Cheli's leg is good for game 1 is he back in the lineup or does Lilja stay in? For a guy that has seen spot duty over the last month I though Lilly Pads was very good tonight...he didn't make any glaring mistakes and moved the puck in low risk situations!! I don't know what Babs will do with the forward lines, i think the changes tonight were good but even if he went back to the lines we had been using all playoffs it would be good too!!

Thats what I was thinkin about myself, cmon I had 10 goals in 35 games in my beer league, we can all forget about the fact my plus minus was -76. . When it comes to goals I go for quality over quantity!!

Exactly!! As much as some people can have the blind hatred of Lilja lets be honest here, I love Cheli but Lilja at this point is way more servicable than Cheli has been the last week or so!!
