I've seen some pretty crazy stuff said on this site but suggesting we don't have the motivation to win after we win our first game of the playoffs in what most would say could have been a 6-1 game easily is the funniest talk i've ever heard on here.

I tried a new superstition which was to not post in the GDT during the game...it worked and it will continue to be my superstition until we lose. Good win and good perseverance by our guys. We carried the play but had a hard time shaking them. Onto game 2 we go!!

As per playoff superstition I will say GO WINGS GO right now and I will not be back on the site until after the game is over.

Back to Linden..if that is his last game his number goes up at the home opener of next season. His numbers alone aren't jersey retiring worthy but he has been the face of the Canucks for almost 20 years..even when he left for a few years they knew he would he back one day. Great leader, hard worker, contributed in the community...Trevor Linden is the epitome of what teams want as a leader, his number's werent' #19 like obviously but this is a no brainer for the Canucks...but hey ya never know !!!

Did Bure have a better career than Lids or Federov?...Obviously not, I think the reason he was picked as the top draft pick of 1989 is because he was drafted 113th overall...bit of a steal I would say. On the flip side I guess you could say Lidstrom at 53rd overall and Federov at 74th overall were steals too.

Burke and the Duck's have had ample time to rest players this year thats for sure. Teemu and Niedermayer get the luxury of working the system and missing half the year and now Pronger gets this joke of a suspension to rest up before the playoffs start. Burke and Campbell must have some mutual man love going on for each other thats for sure!!
