Tarnstrom hasn't really been all that good but it could work out nicely for the BJ's if he could play up to his potential down the stretch. Oiler's get some salary off the book's I imagine and the BJ's get a guy with some potential. Kind of funny that there is a Dick playing for the BJ's ... ...yep I'm 29 with the maturity of a 17 year old!!

It would be nice to have more solid first rounders but if I'm correct there have been years where we havent even had a pick in the first round. I think our late round steals of Dats and Z more than make up for the lack of 1st rounders!!

I totally agree. Brown would be an awesome fit but there is no chance we will get him and no chance the King's will deal him. This Boll kid may be a good player some day but these people in this thread who want him because he leads the league in fighting majors are lost. I love a good fight but the fact of the matter nowadays is that 9 out of 10 fights do nothing in this league but provide entertainment. Parros and Ivanans last night was a great fight but it did nothing for either team, it was just two meatheads with no skill beating each other up. If this Boll kid is such a good young player why can't he get more than 8 minutes a game playing for a less than average Jackets team? This league is about depth now, not having 3 goons on your team who sit on the end of the bench, team's have to be 4 lines deep. I don't know why people can't get it through their head that as long as Holland is the GM and Illitch is the owner this team will be built around smart, speedy, skillful players and not a team of meatheads who can't play. The Wing's aren't intimidated by anyone in this league and that includes the Duck's. We don't need to beat the Duck's in the alley because we can beat them on the scoreboard!!

There is no need for him, we have Downey doing a fine job warming the end of the bench until his time to straighten someone out comes!! Plus Downey is apparently awesome in the dressing room and will do and play whatever and wherever it takes to help this team out.

Naslund has played on every possible line this year and struggled..he's so invisible out there almost every night it's scary. Morrison's injury is not the reason he's struggled. Neither of them has really done squat since Bertuzzi's big year when he was on his game and clearing out space for both of them. We all know what happened with Bert and we just won't go there. Nazzy played with the Sedin's for a large chunk of the year and still couldn't consistently put the puck in the net. If Nonis could find a legitimate right handed sniper to play with the Sedin's it would be the 2nd best line in the league because those two mutant twins can control the offensive end at will some nights!!

There is a big difference, Lebda beat Delmore and Wooley out of a roster spot because of the simple fact he was a better player than both of them. Delmore is a one dimensional player that had everything he touched go in the net for a year and Wooley was a servicable guy but his time was up. There is no one in Grand Rapids that is better than Lebda right now...end of story.

He earned an early call up in the playoffs because we had injuries and teams can expand their roster in the playoffs. I'm all for trying out new guys but Lebda has valuable NHL experience, something that Quincey does not have. He will get his shot but he isn't close to ready yet!!

Damn we are desperate for someone to pick on. We are 25 games over 500 and it's time to pick on our 6th d man. Lebda has not been as good the last 10 games or so but for a 6th d man he get's the job done. Is this day and age of the NHL speed kills and he has it and for that reason alone he won't be going anywhere. This kid has some learning to do but he comes cheap, he's young and he's fast. Find me a number 6 d man is this league who is comparable and cheap and we can discuss it but if anyone say's Andy "the human pilon" Sutton I will puke in my mouth!!

Dont get me wrong, I want the Wing's to win every night but living in Canuck's country there are 4 times a year when I want the Wing's to win really bad so I don't have to listen to Canucks fans plan their Stanley cup parade route. We can blame buttman for a lot of stupid s*** that goes on in this league but blaming him for the tv contract is not one of them!! Like lfd said up above a couple of posts, the tv contract is put out to bid on and whoever comes up with the most benjamin's get's it, plain and simple!!

On Home Ice on xm radio this morning I was listening to Espo's show on there and he said he had talked to Jeff Carter who played with Emery and McGratton in Sault Ste. Marie in jr. Carter told Espo that Emery was one the toughest guy's he had ever seen. Scary to think that the best fighter on the Sen's might be their messed up backup goalie!!

Bingo!! Thats what it's all about..win as many games as possible and win the presidents trophy, screw all these myths about winning it and then winning the cup.

We could get him really cheap now!! A couple rolls of sock tape and some used car parts should do the trick.

If Sundin has only choosen 2-3 teams that he would be traded to and we are one of them I think the negotiations with the Wing's would be pretty simple. We hold the upper hand. We are in first place, we have no problem scoring, we have no problem keeping goals out of our cage, we have world class goaltending times 2. Kenny goes to Ferguson and ask's them what they want for Sundin and Kenny tell's them to either stuff it or counter offer them. WE DON'T HAVE TO MAKE A TRADE. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Of course you always try to improve your team but sometimes the best trades you can make are the ones you don't make!! My personal opinion is Sundin is going nowhere.

Nobody around here has learned all that much about Babcock obviously!! Dats-Flip-Cleary might be together to start the next game but might not take another shift together the rest of the night. Dats and Z make anyone they play with better instantly but we are so deep they could play together of get split up, either or!! Make one thing clear though, Babcock's line combos as a game goes on are not all that predictable which is smart because it makes it for the other team's to match lines.

Beating a team 3-0 isn't lucky!! We may have not played our best game but we got another win. Luck my friend is what s***ty teams need to win! Oh and about the offensive effort, we only need one goal if no one can score on us!! SEND IT!!
