Rumor has it according to Darren Dreger on Twitter (Yes I know NOT a reliable source though better then Eklund) the Flyers, NYR, San Jose and DETROIT were big players in the trade scenarios. -
Looks like Weber is going to the Flyers so scratch that idea.

I'd like to remind everyone that we have a surplus of Forward's at the moment so we need to remember that it is possible that Kenny could use one as trade-bait to get some depth. BTW can any of our current prospects become the 7th guy or would we be better off looking in FA?

I'd rather bring the kids up personally and try to trade one of our surplus forwards for some extra Defense-man depth or a draft pick. -
IMO it would be easier to move them to QC or Seattle. With Winnipeg moving to the West and the Jackets moving to the east.

I actually like the idea of signing Vandermeer. Would it replace Lidstrom? NO! But it would get the job done for this up coming season until we can make a run for Weber. -

I think he has done okay however it hasn't been great. Heck at least were not Edmonton. With that being said regarding the drafts I will withhold judgement on evaluating those until 2013-2014. Regarding this off season who at are you going to do when the two prized picks wanted to go home???? NOTHING! Their has GOT to be a trade soon.

I do believe the cap is a large problem and it will have to be fixed during the next CBA negotiations. The NHL has a really inflated Cap IMO. They need to do something about it. Regarding the contracts the NHL needs to look at having a limit of them like 7-8 Years. I know the NBA has a 7 Year limit with the salary being around $120 Million IIRC. -
Let's all wait and see what Kenny does before we call for his head. I think he has something up his sleeve. At least he didn't resign Hudler.

I use to be against this 110% but now after losing Suter and Parise I think it is something that should be looked at in the very least. Though we MUST trade for Nash or Ryan and Sign Carle. I think Suter and Parise wanted to play close to home.

I still think we are in the Ryan Suter "Sweepstakes" I really think he is waiting until after Parise announces. Why aren't you seeing Kenny going after any D-man? I think we will be his ultimate destination. -

Again people I DO think something is up Kenny's sleeve and I'll tell you why. 1. I find it telling that we didn't sign any D-Man yesterday this means I still think we'll get Suter 2. There HAS GOT to be a trade up his sleeve. He is just waiting until A. He has the parts in place, B. He signs Suter and.or C. Parise is already gone. -
