It doesn't have anything to do with jealousy. When you blather like you just demonstrated on the subject, you just add further fuel to the fire unnecessarily in making people disliking him more, and not liking you when you embelish people's thoughts with a broad scope.

I don't like Crosby much but embelished or not, a funky play/hit by Downie and totally unnecessary/easily avoidable. Never thought highly of Downie much either.

I'd expect to see Osgood play one of these back-to-back games on Friday/Saturday, but unless Howard just falls off the face of the planet where he alone loses the team a game, then there's no reason to yank him as he's still been pretty solid lately overall, sans the Vancouver game where everyone was pretty much bad.

Wow, I'm all for phyiscal play but yet another example unfortuantely of needing to learn when to let up.

Admins aren't required to log onto the site or administrate at all, they do it out of their own generousity as well. If Matt desperately needed any extra help, he'd ask for it. He'll get the stuff done when he can. The site is a priority to him, but there are other things in life to worry about as well. *sighs and shakes head*

Understood. I think more/less he's probably talked about over the past year or whatever since he got released by Detroit that he wants to play in the NHL again if he could. So... As hard as it could be to watch him these last few years he's still got some game to play in the NHL and he's just an absurd freak of nature when it comes to workout regimine, so I don't blame him for trying to play at the highest level as long as he can as long as his conditioning/stamina can hold up.

A lot rules/shortcuts/suspensions or whatever probably has to do with player reputations unforutantely. Sean Avery with his past antics... Tomas Holmstrom gets called for a lot of phantom/b.s. interference calls... Something bad happens to Sidney Crosby, a massive suspension will probably happen to the person who hit him... Etc. I love watching hockey and always will love to watch it, but the subjectivity of all these kinds of things is just such a joke, it's embarassing. It needs to be as close to black/white as possible, no grey area.

We're all selfish by default, that's natural. I don't see him being any more selfish that looks like he's abandoning family or friends or whatever. If you do something you love doing, keep doing it for as long as you can I always say. Of course he has family and other things to consider, but it probably helps that his sons are probably fairly grown up now that they are probably understanding they should try to find something to make a living at and enjoy doing as well for as long as possible.

Jail is a bit extreme regarding this stuff. It's not assult in a criminal sense.

Nah. His last two regular seasons (well 1 fully, this one it's hard to be 100% fully accurate) have been a lot left to be desire, but he has shown he was incredibly stellar the past two seasons when it mattered most. Always underappreciated, but he did win. Did he benefit some from great Red Wing teams? Of course. But he also won more than he lost with St. Louis and the ISlanders and well, and those teams weren't as good as the Wings either. And for the Osgood haters, please don't respond to me with stats or he lets in softies. Haters are going to hate and I'm not going to change your mind, nor should you try to change mine. Whether he ever gets the #1 job back here ever this season or after, who knows, but I hope he retires later than sooner, I still want him around for another few years if he doesn't get a major injury.
