Doesn't matter to me. I just want to get in. This team has shown they can beat the top teams in the conference if they play their game and play close to 60 minutes as possible. It's just a matter if they can do it enough times to win 4 games.

This team is in need for points as much as possible and as quickly as possible. It's natural that Osgood will probably see a game/two by default in just the way of an NHL season goes, but this team needs wins and points now, and Howard has proven more this season so far, whether it is fair or not on Osgood, that he is capable of winning more, now.

Yes really. Howard may have better stats, but you do not know if Osgood would have let in a goal or not, because he didn't play. So you cannot say such and such would've happened because he did not play.

This isn't like the past two seasons with either Osgood or Hasek trying to get in a groove where we could wait for them to being a top-seed. The Red Wings are fighting for their playoff lives right now, and even though theya re in 8th right now, playoffs are not a certainty. I like Osgood, but Howard has been more consistent overall this year and has still shown he brings the best chance to win this season, and now. The Red WIngs need points NOW. Sorry, until Howard just consistently poops the bed, he's staying in.

These guys are professionals. They aren't going to show anything, and probably not do anything, to mess up chemistry or stuff in the locker room or whatever. This isn't like the 3-ring goalie circus of Hasek and Joseph and Legace in 2005/06. In 2008 this was dead similar to what happened to Hasek when he got the ax and Osgood came in for the playoffs. Of course Hasek was frustrated, stated he wanted to keep playing, but was going to do what was best for the team. Again, there is nothing to read into regarding this.

Osgood just wants to play. Nothing wrong with that. However he's not going to let his wanting to play mess up team chemistry or creating any goaltending drama. He's stated plenty of times more/less that while he wishes/wants to play more, he supports Howard, is happy for him, and will do what's best for the team. Nothing really worth reading into regarding this. Move along...

Been average/all right, jitters and stuff some, to be expected after being out of the NHL for over a year. Unless he just falls off the map I don't see any reason why he isn't in the lineup every night. Just figure out who his partner is consistnetly. Just in general I'd pick Ericsson over Lebda more often than not b/c I think Ericsson has more potetenial to reach, but Lilja and Lebda has worked out, for the most part overall, in the past as a respectable 3rd pairing.
