Babies are going to cry, to be expected. I can deal with annoying stuff if it's going to probably happen. The fart, not so much. Wario or Waluigi

Never have, probably never will. I don't have anything against it, but cannot stand people that "have to do something" during that day or single people who live normal emotionally 364 out of the years and act miserable during that day because they aren't in a relationship (assuming the person isn't going through a recent divorce, breakup, whatever). The person below me thinks it would be cool if they could teleport like the Yip Yip Martians.

Goldberg, the Goalie

Red Wings fans, generally speaking, are a bunch of morons when it comes to goaltending talk. No goalie could save the Red Wings these past few gams with how bad the defense has been. Not Osgood, not Howard, not a brick wall on the net. Osgood and/or Howard have to play a bit better latley and it'd be nice if they could've stolen a game, but they are getting hung out to dry lately.

Nothing really wrong with what he's saying. Pretty much dead on. ONly reason we're getting our panties in a bunch is because we're biased for the Wings.

It's definitely ridiculous to throw the towel on the season, there's still plenty of time left to gain ground. If you have the effort/trying what they did in the 2nd part of the game last night though, you can forget playoffs. Thankfully, games or efforts like that where you don't even look like you are trying (even though this is not the case obviously) or are just badly getting outplayed are few/far between.

Only have 2 Wings jerseys, 1 from sportsk, was very satisifed with them.

Jesus Christ. This has nothing to do with the passion level of fans. Where did I ever say or interpret that here in this? And did I say or interpret that I won't care if they miss the playoffs? No. I will care, but there is more to life than hockey and I'm not going to cry over spilled milk or be angry if they miss the playoffs. So you can take your fan comparison stuff and shove it up your rear end. This has nothing to do with that and everything to do with what I laid out recognizing BOTH the cons and pros/potential positivess right now and what superstaringh just said. And of course this team is not as good as the last two teams, but who the hell knows what can/might happen in the playoffs. We've seen lower seeded teams win plenty, and it COULD happen in the Wings case as well. I'm not going to give people crap for being negative or pessimistic, it's not worth my time as there will always be people like that, but I prefer looking on both sides of the equation and being optimistic. If I get called out on it, I'm going to give it right back to people that give crap to me for being hopeful or looking at both sides. It's too early to pull the plug on this season.

How do you know? The season isn't even over yet. And yiu aren't even considering that other teams will probably hit a snag or two before the season ends as well. And that despite recent goof-ups, THEY ARE STILL IN A PLAYOFF SPOT.

Carry on and slit your wrists and yell and piss and moan about every. single. fricken. detail. if it makes you feel better Mr. Ray of Sunshine. They've made the playoffs in the past 18 seasons. They are in a playoff spot right now, regardless of how they are in it, Calgary struggling, whatever. Lower seeds have upset top seeds plenty, it isn't uncommon. Hell, Edmonton nearly won the SCF as an 8 seed in 2006. They played awful defense almost all last year and were fine defensively overall in the playoffs. THey have plenty of games left to get to a higher seed or take care of stuff or whatever. I get that they have problems right now. I also get that there is plenty of time and games left, still, to improve their status in the standings. I also get that despite being pretty terrible defensively last year, they were better when it counted most and still made a deep playoff run. That's why I'm not commiting suicide unlike you and plenty of other people right now. You want to yell and get angry and be pissed off, knock yourself out. I don't like making myself miserable though unlike yourself. You don't like the way I view things, that's your problem, not mine. So you can continue to roll your eyes at me all you want, but doesn't change at all that they have current problems right now AND they still have time to fix them. Funny how some people don't even consider the latter and just want to kill themselves right now. They'll be all right.

When you consistnetly win, you're hated. Not too hard to figure out.

They'll be fine.

While Russia will be a threat obviously, saying that one of the best countries to produce hockey talent year in/year out has no chance is a pretty bold thing to say. -
Unfortuantely no. The person below me thinks Bert got a raw deal in this game.

They actually had Checkers down here, so I'll go with that. Blah blah blah or Yackidy Shmackidy

How My Love 4 Hockey Affected My Feelings Towards B-Ball
SouthernWingsFan replied to rage's topic in General
I played a lot of pickup basketball back in college before I tore my ACL and MCL and certainly enjoyed it. A lot like baseball and golf when I used to play golf, I could play it all day, can't watch it for extended lengths of time. And in general I'm more of a collegiate sports fan than a professional sports fan. When I was in college I didn't miss many games on either the men's or women's side of my school, even though the men's team was never really that good when I was there. Women's team was almost always in or around the top-25 when I was there. Part of it is enjoying watching basketball to some degree, part of it is just because I love watching sports overall and support my favorite teams rarely missing games. I'll typically enjoy watching a good college basketball matchup, and if I get an invite to go to a New Orleans Hornets game down here I'll typically go, but I just have very little interest getting into the NBA until the playoffs start, not even locally with the Hornets down here. Where I live, a little north of New Orleans itself, is a different cable provider which doesn't show the sports channel at all for New Orleans Sports (like Fox Sports Detroit, etc.). That's a shame. If they did, I would certainly leave it on during games at night when I'm at home doing other stuff. But even then, I just can't get into it like some others do down here. -
Nope. What I wear remains private. The person below me knows how to shake, rattle and roll.

Plaid. I like solid colors. Snap, Crackle, or Pop, or Rice Krispies?

Inconsistency of officiating and how calls are made. Crosby attention to a lesser degree. TV deal or lack thereof doesn't bother me as much because I still find ways to barely miss any games whether it be on TV or on my computer.

Nope. I'll never win. Why waste more money. Dontcha like my attitude? The person below me thinks this is hilarious, espeically if you've seen the movie.
