Why? Doan isn't a guy with a punk attitude, the hit wasn't dirty. Hockey is a physical game and s**t happens. No "messages" have to be sent, so don't be so ridiculous.

Newberry is big. He has grit. He fights. He can possibly "enforce". That makes the enforcer slappies on here all warm and fuzzy. And sneding him down and calling him Ritola clearly shows that Ken Holland is a conspiracy theorist and clearly has it in for people that might play phsyical or be enforcers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get a kick how, at least on perception here, people also almost always forget to consider that other teams are actually good/doing good whenever the Wings hit a snag. -

It's impossible to rally when there's over half the season left? Last time I checked a season doesn't end in December. Injuries right now stink but they're doing as good as we can expect them right now with the roster. Just don't go on any lengthy losing streaks and slowly get healthy and they'll be fine. I see no reason to obsess about missing the playoffs.

It stinks that the Wings aren't playing and producing points like we are used to, but in a lengthy season, you're gonna stink up the joint sometimes and have losing streaks, whatever. That goes for every team. I'm not flipping out over a team that has made the palyoffs in over 15+ seasons and is far from out of the playoffs this year when there is still plenty of the season left to be played. -

Not lost confidence. Teams go on hot and cold streaks all the time in an 80+ game season. Injuries also play a part. All a part of a lengthy season, I don't care what the team is. Got a long way to go before it's over and still plenty of time for them to make the playoffs. -

Detroit has never been a goon team in recent years. Trying to change them into that when they are fighting for a playoff spot is not a wise idea. -
Nice in theory and I completely agree with you, but no matter how unfair it might be the general population of Red Wings fans turn into idiots when goaltending is the main talk, more often than not.
