Not very open. You have to wonder if he's injured/sluggish in that sense with his back or something else. For whatever reason he can't get in a groove in terms of goal scoring. He's still second on the team in assists which doesn't happen by accident and is still one of the best defensive forwards and hardest workers on the team. And it can be argued that he's been our best all-around playoff performer since the 2008 Cup run.

I'm indifferent on the guy. I don't hate him like some in here, but it probably wouldn't kill me if he wasn't around anymore. No denying he's currently on a hot streak right now. Only thing I really have against him is he needs to shoot more.

Pretty much the only issue that I got with the whole thing. 0 points for a loss at any time, no questions asked. I wouldn't mind going back to a W-L-T system like before, but there's nothing wrong with the current overtime status in the regular season. I like the shootout, I like the chance for more wide open hockey for a few minutes if a game is still tied. Only thing I'd consider modifying is 5 shooters for the shootout. If anybody messes with playoff overtime hockey though, I will be a very angry camper. Nothing compares that playoff sudden death games.

Well, at least Rick Nash is guaranteed a spot now. Good for Columbus. Indifferent on where it is pretty much every year. Would be cool if it was in Winnipeg soon since they now have a franchise again.

I like it. If it was just showing off and being a goof at the beginning I wouldn't watch as much (and I do like that part - they get creative and as long as players aren't showing up others to make them mad and it's all in good joking fun, all for it), but I'm glad they also put an event at the end as well where they are serious about the shootout as well. No problems with it. And if it brings in more fans that don't watch hockey, more power to it. Me as a hockey fan already and most others in here will probably be at least tuning in with some interest regardless.

If the risk of bad weather didn't possibly warrant game time changes, I'd be all for putting it on Super Bowl weekend on midday. I think the weekend before Super Bowl weekend is a fabulous idea. Alumni game on a Saturday and the Winter Classic on a Sunday per usual. How about the All-Star game as well that weekend on a Saturday, and the skills competition on a Friday evening, or do you think that is too much to pull off in an outdoor venue? Because for the most part, I still like All-Star weekend. I don't pay attention too intently as it's the land of no defense and very little physical play, which I perfectly understand given the game doesn't officially count, but I still enjoy it and I enjoy the skills competition even though some of it is hot dogging and being a goofball. If they're having fun with it and not showing anybody up to piss other players off, I'm having fun as well.

You are going to be hard pressed to convince the majority to trade him, sorry. He is one of the most versitaile players the Wings have, capable of producing in more of an offensive role, or playing more of a 3rd line/defense role like he's been doing most of this season. Is he worth this much in his current contract? Debatable. Is he worth trading? Not to me, and so far not to a lot of others on here. Why are you so fixated on him in a bad way anyways, even when he was doing solid last season? Why not any other athletes on the team, and why just him? Really do want to know why and not just asking this to sound like a smart allec. EDIT: And you'll probably find very few in here who are "Dan Cleary lovers". It's just you having an extreme view on the complete opposite end of the spectrum which causes you to think this.

Had such a blast watching that game. I was still in college but back home here for most of the summer working an internship and it was in the French Quarter/Downtown area. After work I went straight to a downtown sports bar and restaurant that unforutantely is no longer in business, but I really enjoyed the few times I went there. Given that d'town/French Quarter is a tourist area obviously, were actually a few other random Wings fans around here/there. Was cool to watch.

Probably the Superbowl without the absurd overhyping of it. But, since I'd be sick of how long it takes, All Star game then. Double or Dare

Some things that I'd like to do better, but nothing that is really keeping me awake or stressing me out. The person below me thinks this is funny.

Abdelkader's been fine. Not great not terrible. As for the boneheaded penalties he took some last playoffs, thankfully those are the types that are extremely easy to avoid, just need to screw your head on tighter and not goof up. He hasn't done that at all this season so...

While money helps with the problem, it's not the end of all end solutions. I'd also be wanting to do something I enjoy and make a living or money doing it as much as I can, no matter how rich or well off I was. I don't like Crosby like pretty much everybody else in here and don't pay attention much when he is talked about anymore because it is overbearing at times, I get the recent history between the two teams in here, but it'd be nice for him to play again simply because it is what he does for a living. I am implying nothing more and nothing less. I'm not overadvocating for him to be out there, and on the flip side I'm not going to the other extreme basically telling him to f off like some in here have gone too far with. If that makes me some kind of Crosby apologist to others in here, well that's not my issue.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Yeah it hurts sometimes but I don't consider myself to have an ego or having to be right all the time just to make myself look good or better than others. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, certainly not a new concept to me. I'll get over it. The person below me has done something like this before with similar effect.
