You can pretty much add most other players on the list, not just Datsyuk or Zetterberg alone. It's nothing against the Red Wings. Crosby's going to get attention for better/worse. It's not going away. The sooner people get over this, the sooner people will have less heartburn.

Meh. He's already going to go too much attention for better/worse. I've accepted it and moved on. Don't really care anymore. Wish others could do the same so I don't have to hear further whining about him or how he's publicized.

Times Like These - Foo Fighters

Part of me was. Was out of town this weekend and drove a bunch so I'm looking forward to routine again. The person below me thinks this is absolutely hilarious.

Also with regards to Versus, my alma mater has had their past 3 footall games broadcasted on Versus, and soon to be 4th this upcoming weekend. I believe the same guys do a good bit of the hockey broadcasts on Versus as well. At least one of the guys voices is easily recognizable and I've heard him on Versus. Don't remember the names and don't really pay attention to them that much in detail as a I am just interested in the games, but from what I've heard on the football games, no real bias towards one team or another, they try to give equal pub to both, even if one of the teams isn't as good. And they could easily be homers towards my school right now given that they are still undefeated and in the top-10 in football.

Fans when they are overly critical or paranoid will always find excuses on why certain annoucers are against their favorite teams, when more often than not they are just going about their business broadcasting like normal and creating debate/controversy just doing their jobs. I typically tune annoucers out and just watch games, it's not worth getting worked up over them.

Not all captains lead by yelling their lungs out or throwing stuff around in a locker room when things aren't always peachy keen. See Yzerman (I'm assuming) for example. I personhally think having the team sit in a pot of boiling water for 2 hours straight is a good idea. Bigger than Crosby's hopefully!

More/less yes, but just like in 93/94 like you said, they finished first. Hell, they won 62 games after a slow start in 95/96. No need to go overly apes**t about things too much right now during a such a lengthy season when this team doesn't have trouble making the playoffs, unless shown otherwise this year over the course of the season. If it were just a 10 game season or whatever, this would be a disappointing season, but thankfully that is not the case.

In all likelihood no, although it's not 100% out of the questions. It's not common to fire assistant coaches throughout a season I think. It's a combination of BOTH McCrimmon not doing his job AND the defense as well on the ice. To what degrees of who/what is at fault most, is entirely subjective.

I'd still watch whenever I could.

Seconded. He could definitely be better, but other than the road against Edmonton where he was awful early, he's been all right. Yeah there was the Buffalo game, he didn't have much help in that game. Like some games last year where Osgood's numbers weren't good, BOTH he AND the defense need to play better and responsibly. I refuse to take sides on which person/aspect is ultimately to blame.
