I can live with it. It's not like it's in black and white. I can still see games. I can still see them very well. I've seen hockey and other sporting events in high definition. I do like it. It's just not a necessity for me, spending unnecessary dollars. While I like HD I just have never understood the droolfest to it when standard TV you can still see stuff fine.

Plenty of stats might be unusual or a lack of production for stars or whatever after not even 10 games over and 80+ game season. More time is needed for stuff like this to sort itself out.

People need to get their panties out of a bunch. Of course we should want to win every game. It's not happening though. It's realistic though not to expect success like the last two seasons, at least IMO for regular season with 50+ wins and winning your division without breaking too much of a sweat. Yes I'd love to not be 3-4-1 right now but stuff like this sorts itself out as a lengthy regular season goes along. Everybody in the league is going to have hot and cold streaks. This team has made the playoffs the past 15+ seasons. They've made the SCF the past 2 seasons. All of these seasons they've had little/no trouble in making the playoffs. Until it is much easier to forecast and more games are played, I see little reason to think differently. Nothing wrong with what was said and no need to get too worked up or make a bigger deal out of it.

Online for as long as I can. Saves money and quality isn't all that bad.

Not the most ideal way to do things, but obviously possible as proven. Would love to be better than 3-4-2 right now but it's a long ways away from anything to be decided.

^ This. Logic around these parts is rare these days it seems. If he doesn't fully perform after a while, then find options to move him. But saying he's completely done alraedy and people wanting him to fail in here or thinking the game is over before it's even started is pretty sad.

Again, it is only 8 games in the season and none of this can be forseen and it's not like we're talking about a team that hasn't missed the playoffs 40 years in a row. Get a grip. I swear, the worst thing about a Red Wings loss 9 times out of 10 is not the loss itself, but fans (not just you) going completely paranoid or wanting to trade everybody.

1st was legit, no problem. 2nd is going to be entirely subjective as it's not completely black/white, and being Wings fans most will probably be biased towards disallowing the goal. Part of me thinks that as well, but like instant replay on football when there's no irrefutable evidence to possibly overturn a call, you got to stick to your original guess, even if the guess/play "looks" wrong.

And it's only 8 games into the season of an 80+ game season where any team good/bad will play .500 hockey over a stretch of just 8 games. Not to mention that this team hasn't sweated making the playoffs over 15+ straight years. Concern? Yes. Panic? No. Get a grip.

Maltby has been exceptionally well for this team so far this year overall. It's approaching retirement time for him soon regardless, but I don't mind him. While Osgood let in a bad goal in OT, Osgood overall hasn't been bad either. Who would you trade him for? Which goalie(s) available would you get then? I wouldn't mind seeing Lebda get the boot, but still overall in the postseason he's done fairly well for the most part as a 3rd d-man.

While Datsyuk definitely looked damned good last night, what Buccigross was saying isn't really all that far off. Datsyuk and Zetterberg can still be forces, maybe more than he might think, but the Central Divison is better, and with the Wings somewhat slow start, it makes you wander even though the season is long and there's still plenty to determine. I find it funny in here when people get so worked up over analysts' opinions or predictions and they pull their hair out if somebody goes against the Wings. Some in here spend so much time ripping on their own players or team which is okay, yet when an outside source does it, it's all of a sudden not the hip/cool thing to do and the source is an idiot. Pretty comical to me.
