Nah, I baked a pizza right after work while keeping busy doing other stuff and that was about 5 hours ago, so I'm good. The person below me likes to make loud noises using stuff like pots and pans and baking tin foil.

Lidstrom should adopt me as a brother and give me lots of money, just because I'd be a cool brother.

Debatable, and an endless debate that'll never be solved, so I'll leave it at that. Williams has been fine so far.

And in the end, he still failed to show he was better than Lebda or Meech. He had his opportunities. A little bit of both columns in this scenario.

I say meditation.

Teams go 2-3 in a 5 game stretch all the time when a season is over 6 months long, I don't care how good or bad you are.....

Nope. Rarely watch much TV outside of sports. The person below me thinks this is amusing.

But he did at the time, and at that time Quincey failed to show he could close up a permanent/almost permanent spot on the big roster. Qunicey had more than enough time and more than his fair share of chances to make it whether it was through the minors or stints with the Wings and what not, and he failed to deliver - if playing full time for the Wings is what he wanted.

Indeed I do. The person below me thinks this is amusing.

When you say that somebody blows, you're probably oging to get some people blowing gaskets at you.

It's just 5 games. Plenty of teams are going to go 2-3 in a span of 5 games this season...

It's been just 5 games, kinda hard to have a fair sample size of stinking up the joint at home or on the road as pretty much every team in the league will go 2-3 at some point in the year...

From the first blurb, obviously you're right on that, two different scenarios in terms of playing careers. Cleary though more/less was a more defensive-minded forward during the beginning of his career here in terms of role pretty much, with Helm bieng in the same scenario more/less. Cleary has turned up the offensive switch a good bit. It'd defiintely be cool if Helm did the same. His offensive upside might be limited, but he's still young, too early to completely tell IMO.

More power to Qunicey most definitely. Bottom line though for people who are still bitter that he was waived, he had his chances to prove to be on the big club here during stints in the previous seasons and last training camp/preseason, and he failed to do it. Do I wish he was still with the Wings? Sure, but ultimately he didn't make his own breaks enough when he was with the Wings.

From the look of things and past articles read, assuming he's healthy, he's probably going to be full time from now on.

I don't have a frothing hatred for Tootoo like plenty in here. I like that he plays hard. I like that he plays physical just about every play. When he does s**t like the Dallas incident cheapshotting Robidas from behind a few seasons ago (?), that I do not like.

^ This unfortuantely. Fighting has its place in the game, I like a good one-on-one scrap like anybody else, but I don't get overly gaga about it like some seem to do in here. I like it just as much as a breakway goal, awesome glove save, whatever else. I forgot the exact game/matchup, but it happened a few seasons ago with Buffalo, basically just sending a full line of 5 goons to just completely throw down with the other team. I don't remember the exact situation of the game, but that result itself looked like it was pretty unnecessary. Fighting resulting from that, I do not like. It'd be a shame though if fighting went away.

Bring him on baby! For those that might want him in an increased role, understand though that he's just a 3rd/4th line guy right now, to create energy etc. And he hasn't even had any regular season goals yet in 30 games or so, hasn't even played a full regular season etc. Time will tell if he's able to maintain the level of energy throughout the regular season/playoffs if he remains fully healed. Picture Dan Cleary in his first season/two with the Wings. Didn't produce much points, was more of a defensive-type forward. Not to say that he wasn't offensively capable obviously though. Once Cleary showed he could produce more on the G/A/Pts stat sheet, his time/roles increased. If that can happen for Helm, awesome obviously, but right now he's just a 3rd/4th liner given his role to skate hard and create energy.

When your own coach is giving you kudos for your play, I don't know how that can be lazy/sucking. I don't think anybody is going to say that Bertuzzi is the power forward he was during most of his Vancouver days anymore, sure he hasn't quite produced on the main score sheet yet, but he's looked far from lazy/sucking out there so far.

Fancy when the situation is proper, other than that plain, I am a simple-minded low-maintenance person. Policeman or Bobby

Not really thankfully. The person below me is currently enjoying a nice mug of coffee like myself.

None of the above. If Konstantinov's number was retired, it would've been done by now. Would love to see it happen, but I just think it's going to stay out of circulation. Chelios' number would get retired in Chicago long before getting retired here. Slim/none for Fedorov, due to the bad way him leaving Detroit went down, where he and other parts of the organization played a part in his departure. I'm not going to get in a debate about who was right/wrong, innocent/guilty because nobody will ever know and it'd be a pointless endless debate.
