Some of you worry about this enforcing bit way too much.

Sometimes I do, but the other part of me enjoys making myself do stuff and getting things done myself. I like feeling productive/accomplished. The person below me can understand what Taz says on the phone in this clip (and also thinks the appearnce by the dad was awesome)

I'm not Steve Moore, so I don't have to live with that hanging over my head, I'm sorry. I'm pretty sure, like the 1st time with Bertuzzi's stint here, Holland and management carefully did their homework on Bertuzzi to see if his head is on straight and he wasn't going to go apes**t on somebody in an attempt to purposefully injure. It's easier said than done, but in any bitter conflict big or small, there comes a point in time where you are just going to have to accept that enough is enough and forgive the person and move on or at least be at peace with the conflict. Everybody in that whole incident, Bertuzzi, coaches etc. had a hand in what happened on the ice. The incident was inexcusable. But it happened, you cannot erase it. If Bertuzzi was unapologetic or a complete a'hole with his attitude, it'd be easy to not let it go and dislike him. But for crying out loud he lost his griddles on national TV apologizing, he seems remorseful about it, and he doesn't seem like the kinda person that always is screaming "HEY LOOK AT ME, I'M A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE, I'M GOD, BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP ME!" Sorry, but I'm not the kinda person more often than not to just hold grudges or be vengeful or bitter towards people for long lengths of time. Do I hate what happened to Steve Moore? Yes. Do I hate what Todd Bertuzzi did? Yes. Do I want Steve Moore to get better? Yes. It cannot be changed though. There's always a time, understandably so, to be pissed off, angry, sad, whatever. After a while though you got to get past those emotions, make your peace, and move on with your life to be normal again. Todd Bertuzzi has seemed to do that and at least be in a good state of mind and at the same time show he's truly sorry and seems like he's a decent/good guy in the grand scheme of things, six or seven years later. It's time others to do the same as well. And this has zero to do with homer biasedness or Bertuzzi being in a Red Wings uniform. If this makes me unsympathetic towards Steve Moore's cause, I'm sorry. I wish nothing but the best towards both Bertuzzi and Moore.

Donnie. Sticking things in electric sockets or sneaking up to people and scaring them?

Still, the bottom line is the Red Wings lost the last two games. No scheduling or Malkin scenario or missed too many men call on Pittsburgh had anything to do with those games. I will never understand when fans get all paranoid and bitter and find made up things to try to justify a favorite team losing "but but but these things happened and technically we were the better team..." or conspiracy theories or "the whole world is against us!!!!" The Wings lost. Yes it sucks and I hate it. The Penguins won. Good for them. It is as simple as that.

Referees play a part in every series, regardless of opponent and matchup, but to blame them for the Red Wings losing is ridiculous. You can play the conspiracy or the refereeing is for the Penguins/against the Red Wings card all you want, but the bottom line is the Wings still had 2 chances in a row to close the series out, and they didn't. And those 2 games had absolutely zilch to do with the Penguins too many men on the ice debacle. The refs did not lose the series for the Red Wings, the Red Wings did. Pittsburgh's cup was deserved fair and score (EDIT: meant to say square) no matter how much we may dislike them or no matter how much NHL upper execs might have rooted for them to win.

While I'm not holding my breath on Forseberg making a successful comeback attempt, to say that he has always sucked is a pretty big load of bulls**t.

Maybe we'll never fully get over it, sometimes I still shudder if I see Cup winning commercials of Pitt on NHL Net or whatever, but life goes on, need to stop sulking about it eventually. For me it stings that the Wings had two chances to put the series away and didn't. It has nothing to do with the other team, or perhaps NHL higher ups wanting the Penguins to win. And playing the conspiracy game, I'm sorry, I just don't do that. People may have "wanted" the Penguins to win or "rooted" for them, but to say the league "pulled strings" for them to win, I can't go there (yes I get the Malkin deal, and that the refs didn't see too many men on the ice in game 3 or 4, etc.). Cynicism and conspiracy theories are a waste of time to me, they are nothing but a bunch of what if scenarios that will never be determined. The attention that Pittsburgh and Crosby/Malkin gets is definitely over the top at times, that's a given, but it doesn't really bother me. The Wings has 2 chances to put it away, and they didn't, after the stuff above that people might be fishy abut or whatever. It has nothing to do with Pittsburgh or Bettman or Crosby/Malkin, and everything to do with Detroit not being able to close the deal. Once the week started after game 7 life was back to normal for me. Again, will never forget the loss, but am able to live with it and stuff.
