Nicely put.

This really should be none of our business learning about the taxes or finances of a professional athlete but since it has been "leaked", here goes... A part of me says that it's somewhat difficult to have sympathy for him for not paying taxes due to him making more money than I'll ever seen. However at the same time I currently am in a dispute with the IRS and it is a pain in the rear to deal with them which is all I'm going to say about that. Hopefully McCarty gets this debacle in order and can move on in life like normal.

IIHF refuses to grant transfer card to Jiri Hudler

Shhh, you're waking up the neighborhood. Not really. -
'C' stands for cookie!

Don't really care. Whenever I find a rare pimple somewhere though, I love popping it. The person below me has thrown somebody on a table before.

Decluttering. Takes less time. Sticking your hands in raw sewage or dirty toilet water if forced to?
-
You're a pretty funny lad. But this is plenty funnier.

The first b/c I don't like forming my own opinions. Running into a tree or getting hit by a rake?

Nope. Don't need new tires. The person belw me thinks this is funny.

This Hudler story just keeps getting better and better. I doubt much will come of this though, this will get cleared up IMO and he'll be playing in Moscow like nomral. -
Good brief read. With Bertuzzi, some are just never going to get over his "incident". Nothing will probably change that, that's fine. I'm one to rarely hold grudges on things like that if the person seems like he's paid his dues, is truly sorry and remorseful, and so forth. It'd be one thing if Bertuzzi had an attitude problem like Sean Avery or T.O. or Ocho Cinco in the NFL where they just cannot avoid stupid drama, but Bertuzzi just doesn't strike me as that kind of person. What he did was inexcusable obviously and should never be gotten, but he seems to really be sorry, I've made my peace with it and moved on. In terms of Bertuzzi the hockey player, first time didn't work out so well due to injury. Who knows this time around but the signing is low-risk, minimum dollars, etc. Hopefully this time around Bertuzzi can use his size a bit more consistently.

Indeed. People on YouTube could easily get in a fight over a piece of string. Still, every team has it's share of moron fans.

I don't know and honestly I really don't care anymore. The bowl selection system is all f'ed up as it is and there is rarely a fair way to choose a National Champion (or at least a matchup). Plenty of examples to choose from... 2008 - Oklahoma doesn't even beat Texas but still plays in their conference championship due to BCS standnings and eventually the National Championship, losing to Florida 2007 - LSU vs. Ohio State - Which I am glad LSU won being a fan but you could've basically picked multiple teams out of a hat that year to play for the Championship (b/c of 2-loss teams etc.) 2004 I think - Oklahoma doesn't even win their conference but plays for the National Championship and loses to USC. 2001 or 2002? - Nebraska doesn't even win their conference but plays for the National Championship and loses to Miami. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see my school get in a BCS game, but there is rarely anything fair about the BCS selection process regardless of if you are in one of the qualifing conferences or not. So getting on a soapbox and campaigning is a waste of time IMO. Just win your games and see what happens from there...

Nope. Any Cheerios are good. The person below me has scratched their butt in the past 24 hours.

Doesn't matter to me. Don't really know what acrylic is so I'll go with wool. Pancakes or Waffles

If he can do it and get healthy somehow, more power to him. Would be a fun little story to hear. I like hearing about comeback attempts that go well.

Kronwall's hit was clean. As for fans being retarded, let them if they want to be. Every team has their share of retarded fans.

It's a lot easier to play airmchair quarterback AFTER something has happened. How was anybody to know that this DirecTV-VS fiasco was going to happen a year or two ago?

Nobody is making out McCarty more than he is to be. We are just happy when people are able to turn their lives around when odds are heavily favored against them. Both McCarty and Vick as you referenced f'ed up in the past life bigtime in their own ways. McCarty has turned his life around for the better so far after bankruptcy and the like and seems to be more of a responsible person. I'm all for giving Vick a 2nd chance as well. He's paid his debts for his screw ups and served his jail time, he seems remorseful. While he's far from my favorite athlete if he can turn his life around in football again with Philadelphia (or any other team), more power to him and I'd love to see it happen. It's about people making the most out of 2nd chances in life. If it happens, how can you not be happy for these people? Not being vocal helps for future references.

The Mountain West Conference, which the school I went to is a part of, also has their own sports network called The Mountain much like Big 10 Network. They opted out of their contract with ESPN like 3 years ago I think once the Mountain got established. Contracts were also established with CBS College Sports TV and Versus. The first season of establishment all games were available online for fees, which thankfully saved me. The second season of the Mountain being established, games available online were pulled. So I barely had any games to watch 2 seasons ago. It drove me nuts. Until last year, the Mountain Network was not available at all on Direc TV, pretty much just local cable providers of the schools in that conference, in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, etc. Well, the school I went to is in Texas. It wasn't available there AT ALL. So you could imagine how frustrating it was for fans of my school to not be able to watch. It still isn't available on Dish Network. It'd be a damned shame if fans of the Mountain West confernece and my school get another run around of TV accessiblity, AGAIN, like it happened a few seasons ago, this time with Versus. I'm just glad I at least have Charter and know of places to watch games on either satellite network.

The 2nd if it were that easy to do. I've had the first though for about 4 1/2 years and overall it's not too bad despite annoyances sometimes. Running into a wooden fence or running into a closet wall?

Nope. There are no works around my house (I hope). Last can I opened contained diced tomatoes in them. The person below me thinks this is funny.

I blame the terrorists.

VS also broadcasts college football, the Tour De France, and cage fighting and the like. Hard to really consider those redneck sports.
