Wow, I must've made some type of impression to be specifically mentioned. You want me to care about you "schooling" other people or get mad that you are yanking my chain. Sorry, I don't. You can do all the analyzing and statistics all you want until your fingers are more worn out than eva unit zero's from typing all those numbers. It isn't going to change anything though. You don't think he's worth whatever amount to be in the NHL. Fine. Others still do though, and just because others disagree with you doesn't make them have man love or man crushes or whatever other personal attacks you want to give for the day. Your "analyses" or personal attacks aren't going to sway people's opinions, and vice versa to the ones that support Hudler. Newflash: Nothing ever changes for either side of the debate regarding this, fighting/enforcers, goaltenders, whatever. Nothing has changed and nothing ever will at least from people in here trying to debate. If this makes you sleep easier at night or means you think that I don't "get it" or cannot prove his worth or that you got me, okay. I don't care that badly to prove it or counter, because I probably can't do it or do it to your liking, and honestly I don't really want to. I don't want to try. Trying sucks. It's not worth my time to try to prove my worth to you. Sorry.

I'd just like for this team to have everybody - a goon, a fighter, a goaltender, a center, a winger, a defenseman. So everybody can be happy and we can all get along and have more opportunities for group hugs.

Just because some of us don't immediately render somebody immediately useless just because he is small, doesn't mean we've lost rational scope, unlike yourself. Generalizations aren't the best thing to do all the time.

If I'm at home, I sit on my sofa, turn on the TV, and watch the game. If I'm out, I sit at the table/barstool, order food or a drink, and watch the game. Very superstitious.

Understood. The Wings aren't going to get 3rd/4th liners all the time or some just might not want to play for the Wings. Williams now though is a viable option, though not the Grade 'A' #1 favorite obviously. Far from useless though like often portrayed in here when it comes to certain people, because if that were the case these players wouldn't be playing professionally right now.

The person I commented on said Hudler was small and had no place in the NHL largely due to his size. I was demonstrating to him that all these guys still had great NHL careers despite their SIZE and being SMALL... Generalizations are usually never a good thing...

Williams is far from my favorite but he's shown that he can score here/there. Given that... (1) The Wings haven't added anybody this offseason and lost some scoring, Williams isn't that bad of an option given the circumstances right now of the salary cap, not many big name guys out there left, whatever... (2) The Wings are one of the most successful teams this past decade-plus always a threat to win the Stanley Cup, signing Williams isn't going to just magically put a dent in that plan. So there's no need for people to go apes**t over this thinking that the offseason is a total failure if this happens. If Williams was so useless like some claim in here, he wouldn't be in the NHL right now or have been the past few years. He's not as bad as some people dramatize. Plenty of people in here are good at doing that.

Why not... I wouldn't mind him, in his last years, wants to win a Cup, still can score goals from time-to-time, would probably be able to be signed for a cheap amount, etc.

Bingo. It'd be one thing if this team was utter garbage and not even coming close to making the playoffs over and over again, but it is quite the opposite the last 10+ years, especially the last 3 seasons with a Stanley Cup, another SCF appearance, and a deep playoff run into the confernece finals. I think this team will survive possibly not signing a guy like Pyatt or Malhotra or Grier and/or siginng Williams/Sykora if it comes to that given their very successful track record for quite some time over longer than a decade. Spoiled fans.
