Neither championship/team is better or worse than the other, neither championship is tainted for whatever reasons fans of the opposite team come up with, etc. And while I'm betting plenty in here are making fun or talking down on the Penguins because of this, if the Red Wings were in a similar boat and won a few years down the road, we'd just be as happy as Penguin fans are now and really wouldn't give a lick of what others thought.

This team has had little/no trouble making the playoffs the past 15+ years. They still didn't last year despite how iffy goaltending and defense was during most of the regular season. They still have a solid roster despite some losses. I highly doubt next year will be much different...

And who are we to tell people that they should stop doing what they want to do? Chelios now is obviously not the same as he was in his 20s or 30s but if HE feels that HE can still be effective in whatever capacity now and another club thinks HE can be as well, more power to him. I'd like to see him do it.
