While this may be the case for this upcoming series, there is more to life than hockey. We all go through our personal struggles and I hope Giguere can overcome the things that are bearing down on him right now.

Can't really worry about it for the sake of finishing a series up early or playing an "extra game" in game 5 or 6 or whatever, although it is a pretty legitimate concern given possible rust/bad timing, etc. Still, you gotta finish off a team as quickly as possible if you can.

Probably not. The way Fedorov's career ended in Detroit was not handled all too happily, whether he was right/wrong in the whole drama, or whether it was fair/unfair. Which is entirely subjective of course.

There are lines you just don't cross. Some fans regardless of team are just going to be over the line stupid. I think it is retarded, but me hating it isn't going to change that fact. From what I saw over the weekend, it looked like the fan didn't do anything too out of whack or too much out of stupiditiy to warrant the response from the coach. If it is just verbal yapping from an idiot fan, that's to be expected and should either be laughed off or ignored. Hopefully nothing ever goes past that, but that happens sometimes as well unfortuantely.

In a perfect world without a salary cap and you could just have anybody you want, without question I'd like Crosby on the Wings. Say what you want about him whining or being a Gary Bettman's lap dog, the guy produces on the ice, and very well.

The Wings showed they were gritty and tough last playoff run. They are doing the same up to this point in the playoffs. The Wings have grit. Grit doesn't solely mean punching somebody to sumbission or having an enforcer.

Pretty much at any game you'll get a few stupid people at the game regardless of the team/city/event, but I went to a Wings-Avs playoff game last year and game 2 of Wings-Columbus playoffs this year. Expect to be razzed and ridiculued to a certain degree if you wear your visiting team's apparel in the home barn, but both playoff games I went to nothing bad or heated happened. Just take the ribbing in fun or ignore it completely and you'll be fine.

What does it matter? Sports commentators are paid to keep people interested in their product. That means creating controversy every now and then. Doesn't change the results. Not everybody has to stroke the Red Wings egos all the time.

Throw the teams and result in reverse last night, I guarantee you plenty of Wings fans in here would be complaining and being bitter just as badly for a call against your team with just about a minute left in the game. If I were a Blue Jacket fan, I'd rightfully be a little pissy as well with the outcome, regardless of if the call was right or not. EDIT: Does that excuse throwing projectiles on the ice after the call and the loss? Absolutely not. But the perception of some posts in here that us Red Wings fans would act with perfect behavior in the same situation if it happened to the Wings is pretty funny.

I like that last post. Sure the 2nd period last night was kinda in the pits, but Osgood bounced back fine in the 3rd, seeming like his usual self from the first three games. Hopefully that trend continues.

Sad to say that this is expected to a certain degree. True, the Wings fan was asking for it to a certain degree being a visitor in the home team's barn, but it's just stupid to me how fans can take stuff too far sometimes. I'm all for fan taunting in most cases but when it turns into fists and fights, that's just not right in my book.
