I sense sarcasm...

Meh, who knows what'll happen when the playoffs start in mid-April? Do I like last night's game and the last Saturday before that? No. Is it alarming that they both happened close to each other? Yeah. This team still is making the playoffs though without much trouble, and clunkers like these 2 are common for pretty much any team in an 80+ game season, but they aren't usually the norm thankfully.

You are now famous. Can I get YOUR autograph?

May she RIP.

An on-board diagonistic system after cheating/reading. The person below me gets easily amused by those Pops firecrackers going off.

Nice, I like the black/white effects.

If shootouts remain, which I like... 0 points for a loss, no ifs, ands, or buts 1 point for a win in a shootout 2 points for a win in overtime 3 points for a win in normal time Would look goofy in the standings though unfortunately (RegW, OTW, SW, L for example). If now shootouts, 0 points for a loss, no ifs, ands, or buts 1 point for a tie 2 points for a win

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...pecky_play.html Brief little read about Kopecky. I know a good part of being on a 4th line is being able to hit and be defenseively responsible, but Kopecky's numbers are up a little bit compared to last year, and nobody was really ragging on him last year. No, he's not going to be a 50-point man anytime soon but whenenver your 4th line guys can also generate opportunities/goals, I'm all for it, and he's been able to do that lately. I will also emphasize that ACL injuries are a big pain in the rear end to come back from immediately. Remember when Fischer goofed up his knee in the 2002-03 season I believe? The following season wasn't his prettiest I think before finally starting to round back into good form until unfortuantely his heart incident in 2005-06. Derian Hatcher? Goofed his knee up in 2005-06 just a few games in, he unfortunately wasn't the same for the Wings that season when he came back. Whether it is fair/unfair criticism on him when he only played about 15 games, you be the judge of that. I tore my ACL and had surgery on it close to 5 years ago. While it certainly doesn't inhibit me from doing anything now, I didn't resume some type of normal activities with my knee until at least 6 months after surgery, and I still limp and walk funny after a hard workout or run or whatever. These injuries take time to fully heal in terms of strength, players getting truly comfortable again without worrying about screwing the knee up once more, etc. All things considered Kopecky could be doing a lot worse right now.

I don't like to jump the gun on these kinds of things being the Ericsson has only played 10 games total in the NHL - people almost always want to see new people or have the mentality of "the grass is greener on the other side" - but I can't wait to see this guy in full-time NHL duty. Very solid his first 2 games this season. Great puck movement, very little/no brainfarts or turovers. Could be a little more physical but that might come eventually. Though you know, like pretty much almost any player on here, it'll only be a matter of time before Ericsson gets dumped on obsessively as well.

While it is impossible to ever play a "perfect" game, technically speaking, this one was as good as it gets in terms of a dominating win. Osgood played solid and got a shutout. There was physical play that the Red Wings initated at some. Great penalty killing esp. on a 4:00 penalty which set a tone early (along with a fight). The offense slowly plugged and chugged away at the Blues goalie who was playing fairly well. Wings then eventually took them to school. Was as good of a game as you can request with a little bit of everything in a butt-kicking win. Not sure why there are complaints aobut this win.

While I was nowhere near the French Quarter and only downtown right outside the New Orelans French Quarter for one parade, I did not see one person flash for beads, nor was I looking out for anything like that. It's not like it is a brand new concept for people and there's a time and place to see that stuff (i.e. indoors privately). I really don't care to see people humiliating themselves out in public and prefer to see more of family/friends and floats and marching bands and the like, what Mardi Gras is really about.
-
Yes, soon to be late spring by the weekend. GRRRRRR. Before I get yelled at for living in a warmner climate to begin with, I get it. I just want it to be late spring when it is supposed to be late srping, not during late wintertime. The person below me has hidden inside a washer before.

A lot of main cogs from last year's Cup winner are still here, plus Hossa. The roster in itself is fine. Just need to play more consistently at times (and that can be said for pretty much any team at time). If they can do that, the chances of winning the Cup again are good. Hence, not disappointed the Wings didn't do anything. I don't need a trade to happen just for the sake of it happening or to be "exciting".
-
While I think this is a bad idea and am against trading Franzen, I'll give you some slack since this is your first post and you are new to the boards. Welcome. And I apologize for plenty of people acting like a'holes to you in this thread.
-
So he didn't pick the Wings. Big whoop. ESPN isn't LetsGoWings.com. Not everybody is required to stroke the Red Wings ego. Lord knows plenty of people don't do it in here nor think the Wings will be a favorite.
-
You think this is bad? How about minor league games where it's not uncommon to play games on 3 straight nights on bus travel. As for back-to-backers in the professionals, it is a league wide problem, not just a Red Wings problem/issue.
-
Nah. The person below me thinks this is funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_VA_mcq80k

Well I have nothing to worry about then since I won't be in a locker room soon. Yes. I would've thought telling above that that was at a Mardi Gras parade would've expalined the beads/pearls. I guess not. Oh well.
-
Absolutely. The person below me has ripping a ceiling fan down before.

I'm pretending to give Kopecky an awkward hommie bear hug right now.

Are we still going through this? - People have to deal with traffic/work/normal family issues before coming to games typically - People want to eat food or have a drink/two at the game, sometimes that means getting out of your seats during game play - People sometimes have to go to the bathroom during the game, peeing in your pants would look kinda awkward - As long as a fan isn't beligerantly acting like a jackass ruining the watching experience of the group around where I am sitting or just completely clueless like standing up continuously when everybody is sitting, we are in no place to tell them how to act. For the multipleth time, issues that all teams in every league have to deal with. It has nothing to do with being a true vs. fake fan. You are a fan regardless. Not hard to understand.
-
Shouldn't be too surprising given he had his most success in New York. Hopefully whatever "issues" he has Torterella and company can help "clean up". Martin Brodeur is quietly weeping thinking...

Nope. I bought a car last year that I have thankfully fully paid off. The person below me has played on a playground recently.

Yep. His gaudy suits/apparel alone should signal that he probably plays for the cameras for better/worse.
