So you blame somebody for trying to maximize their worth/salary? People do that in all types of different jobs and careers all the time, whether they are a multi-millionaire or a blue collar worker.

Bill Crosby? I love Bill Crosby! And I really do not care to hear of Sydney Crosby's name again. Not because of national media, that doesn't bother me even though he is talked about a lot, but because of the weird obsession in here that people have of him. And the whining card is still silly to me, since pretty much any player and their grandmother whine and complain at some point in time, probably much more than once as well. This board loses its mind half the time when a thread about Sydney Crosby comes up.

Nobody here seems to be complaining that Minnesota was in a back-to-back scenario recently and the 2nd game they played was Detroit, which the Wings won. Columbus had back-to-back games this weekend and won both of them. There's no conspiracy. There's no "Everybody is out to see the Red Wings suffer syndrome". It is something all teams deal with.

If Lidstrom is hurting, he sure isn't showing it much. Looks fine to me.

Ok. I still want him on the team though.

Depth. If the Wings didn't have so much good offensive depth right now, Flipper would probably be on the 2nd line more consistently (assuming Datsyuk/Zetterberg have or continue to play together). The Wings are paying him 2nd line money but have sick offensive depth so he's playing a little less time. Hence, point production might be down somewhat. Does it stink? Yeah, somewhat but I like how the Wings have sick offensive depth. And I like Flipper as well.

Ain't that the truth. Would I have liked to keep him here? Sure. Honestly though, the disdain for not being able to keep him on here went through the roof pretty badly I think. Let's face it, his playing time was going to be slim/minimal. He's in a better situation for himself at Los Angeles right now with more playing time. :chug: to Quincey!
