I hope his future with Detroit is lengthy and I have liked his stuff this stretch of games. However everybody, I don't care how good/marginal you might be, is going to go through a dry streak with goals or points. It will happen with Leino at some time. And people in here are predictably fickle that at some point in time they'll want Leino traded or his head barbequed on a grill as well if/when he goes through a dry stretch, like many other players on here at some point in time.

For me personally, the games could be on FX or The Cartoon Network for all I care. I just want to watch hockey, just be on somewhere where I can get to it. That being said, I have no problem with it being on Versus. I also like Versus because they broadcast college football games of the conference my school is in.

I always look dorky regardless of the hand-me-down clothing situation. The person below me has cursed like Yosemite Sam recently or once/twice before.

Two can play this game! I am fortuante enough that I can usually get away with dressing down at work whenever I don't have important meetings, and this was a rare time I put my jersey on yesterday. Me after a 10K/6.2 mile run today in nearby downtown Baton Rouge, LA.

Not including the first six teams that played outdoors. I know some of those teams didn't hose the event but I just don't think they'll be considered. But that is just 1 goof's opinion. Sorry if I didn't consider any place obvious, basically tried to consider all other places that were far north enough where it would be chilly/ice would still be good enough to play. My vote goes for Minnesota, great hockey state overall me thinks, only damn probably I just realized is that their major big stadium is indoors.

I've pretty much just accepted that officiating is going to be inconsistent all across the league and don't really try to get too worked up about it because it isn't changing anytime soon. Inconsistent doesn't always necessarily mean bad, just means it is inconsistent. Only rule to the exception is O'Hallaran phantom interference calls. I still always get a kick though hearing Redmond on Wings broadcasts be in disbelief about them almost every single penalty call.

As much as a little snot Perry can be, both players are worth every dollar of their contract.

Winning the playoffs isn't solely a direct correlation on checking or fights. While I certainly like physical play and fighting like everybody else, that isn't the only thing to help win in the playoffs. This just shows how people in here hype fighting, sometimes overhyping it.

When your English isn't the best in this country, that makes it harder to be marketable in these things to start. It may not be right, it may not be fair, but it is a major factor.

Nicely stated. Remember after Jiri Fischer messed his knee up pretty bad? He certainly had his fair share of struggles coming back from a knee injury. I blew out my knee and it's been close to 5 years since I had reconstructive surgery on it and it still doesn't feel right 100% sometimes. It wouldn't kill me to see him go, but not everybody is going to put up 80 points a year or have 50 fighting majors. If you are on the 4th line I better not hear as much about you at least in the con category. That means you are doing your job. I don't hear much about Kopecky from the con category accept for people in here who overanalyze like it is another full time job for them. Again he's not my favorite but he's not going to be noticed much being on the 4th line. I know I'm probably in the minority thinking this but if you (not you specifically rock) don't like it, that's not my problem. I get that people think he is terrible, it's only been said about 5003234 times in here. If he was so terrible he wouldn't be playing on the team right now and he could've been easily put on waivers despite the cap situation. And spare me the whole best friends for life situation with Hossa. That means nothing.

And the Bertuzzi trade was still worth a shot I think, despite his "incident" or or any baggage from it or whatever. It's easy to say these trades didn't work out well after they happened, but at the time, I was pretty happy to get both Lang and Bertuzzi when the trades happened. Sometimes s**t doesn't quite work out your way completely regarding these things.

I still get easily amused by cartoons and puppet shows, so I would probably find that very amusing. The person below me has tried to jump over a car before.

This is nonsense. Every team has back-to-back games in this league. It isn't just the Red Wings problem and nobody is out to intentionally get them or intentionally want them to fail.

The "media spin doctors" aren't a part of Fox Sports Detroit or LetsGoWings.com. While it certainly wouldn't be nice, they aren't required to stroke the egos of the Red Wings organization 24-7-365. And while I don't particularly pay that much attention to sports media or broadcasting, when I do I fail to see how everybody is just completely against the Red Wings. Get a fan of another team, I bet you'll get a response every now and then that national media stroke the Red Wings egos more than necessary. They have no effect whatsoever on the Red Wings organization or the game. You enjoy the Wings, so do I, so does everybody in here. Who cares what the national media might think? We all like them in here, that can really just be enough and it can really be that simple. Not everybody has to like them or kiss their butts, and not everybody will. Nothing wrong with that.
