Funny stuff. I'm tellin ya, the answer to any/all goaltending problems now and in the future for any team is Demon Goalie. Demon Goalie rules all!!!! And whether we like it or not, Osgood and Conklin are the goalies going into the playoffs. They are still probably going to have a clunker of a game or two along the way as that is to be expected in a long 80+ game season. These things sort themselves out eventually like Osgood and Hasek did, but not until late in the season/playoffs. Plenty of time still for Osgood and Conklin to ante up their games and figure out who to ride the pine with for the playoffs. Plenty of time for the defense to improve as well.

I'm scared. And in all seriousness, everybody knows not everything is all hunky dory. This team is still making the playoffs, all teams that will be making the playoffs will have stuff to clean up and fix, not just Detroit. Fortunate for Detroit, they are good enough to where they don't have to worry much about missing the playoffs all together and are good enough to where they can usually still win without their best game sometimes. I'll worry in April or May if everything is not fine because things are not always going to be fine in the regular season with this team (or any team), yet this team still makes the playoffs.

One game certainly doesn't make/break a season, but Osgood deserves his fair share of credit tonight. He was as solid as you can get for that 5:00 major and the shootout. Can't really blame him for that last PP goal on the major as it was a solid deflection, pretty hard to not give up a goal when you are a man short for 5 minutes straight. Yes I still get it that he hasn't played well for most of this season, etc.

Yzerman rallied the troops his way, Lidstrom is going to do it Lidstrom's way as well. He might already have, we don't know. Some people don't go apes**t and yell all the time or constantly swear and curse if things go downhill once in a while. Yzerman didn't seem like the guy who said much at times like these, but people listened when he did. The same with Lidstrom I bet. You don't just become a terrible leader/captain overnight after being the leader of a team that won a championship. What specifically do you expect?

Osgood is not going anywhere. No, he hasn't played particularly well but he is more than capable of stepping his game up. Conklin and Osgood is where it is at right now for better or worse. These things eventually sort themselves out as we experienced with Osgood and Hasek last year. It didn't happen until around playoff time last year, and it is going to be later than sooner though in all likelihood this year around whenever Babcock goes with a firm #1 starter. This team is making the playoffs, so there is no need to excessively worry about the goaltending until the playoffs. The goalies aren't playing great right now, but when your team is on a 5-game losing streak, you can probably say the same about the majority of the team. And this team is good enough to snap out of the funk sooner than later. And fortunately, this team is still going to make the playoffs without much difficulty despite this snag. We are fortunately that they are that good enough to not have to have too many fits about the regular season. The goaltending will sort itself out in time, it's not going to be after tomorrow or next week though.

Not really, I'm always almost indifferent about all teams in any sport outside of my favorite teams. Don't really hate other teams. Indifferent about the outcome today. The person below me goes skinny dipping on a regular basis/when the weather permits.

Never was one of the many that wanted him adios in his early part of his career, but he wasn't always playing great to say the least. This is probably been without much question his best/most consistent season with Detroit so far. Glad we have him. Yippee for Lilja.

Plenty of people were lazy and sucked yesterday, and I don't want to see them traded because I like my team. Plenty of people on every team are lazy and suck at certain points in a long season.

Will re-emphasize... The Wings are still making the playoffs that still don't start for a while without much trouble despite this current snag... The Wings made the playoffs last year without much trouble despite an even bigger snag... What happens in the playoffs this year, who knows right now... No need to get too fussy about this stuff when they are going to make the playoffs despite this current snag and not knowing what might happen in the playoffs yet...

A lot of this team went on a much worse streak last February. Made the playoffs without any difficulty. In all likelihood, the Wings are going to have little/no trouble making the playoffs this year despite this losing streak. Everybody goes through snags, they eventually end for every team as well. Fortunately, the Wings are good enough to have it end probably sooner than later. Even if it doesn't immediately end, they are still making the playoffs.
