Happy b-day! :beerbuddy:

Yes it is. Baseball pitchers don't wear ice bags and tapes on their shoulders after they pitch because it looks cool. If you threw a ball as hard as you can close to 100 times at speeds of 80+ mph, your arm is going to get tired and your shoulder is going to get sore. And that soreness doesn't just magically go away overnight. If I workout and jog a few miles really hard, sometimes my legs are still sore a day later, and that's even after proper stretching and the like, and I'm nowhere close to being a professional athlete. You just get sore and your muscles need time to recover sometimes. Relief pitchers often throw even harder because they know their innings and playing time is more limited. You have to manage your pitchers accordingly because of this. Baseball isn't my favorite sport but to say it has no strategy or that it is fake is absurd and asinine.

Nope, washed it over the weekend. The person below me reminds everyone every now and then that they still know how to blow s**t up (if you remember what movie this quote is from, you win a prize ).

Nothing really out of the ordinary my end in terms of weight. I wouldn't mind losing a few but I'm still in a very healthy weight range. I just need to get the punk who bought the baked cookies in at work today, I ate at least 10 of them, they were damned good. I'm not a big guy but I ALWAYS have a large appetite. In terms of fit/exercise, I'm doing a 5-mile run on Thursday and am hoping to do it in under 42 minutes, but that's probably a little too unrealistic.

It's entirely subjective. I don't watch basketball as much as hockey or football, and I prefer college over NBA, but once it gets late in the season and into the playoffs I'll usually try to tune in a bit more, and whenever the local team (Hornets) comes on TV down here I'll watch. I played pick up basketball off and on throughout college, but a lot in the summer before I graduated college and really enjoyed playing it. If not for blowing out my knee, I'd probably still play in a basketball league somewhere around where I live. I'm one that just likes watching pretty much any sport though.

I went by own skill level. Universal just is impossible to judge IMO. What is the ultimate criteria if it's universal? If Zetterberg gets 105 points this year and gets an A+, does that mean Lilja or Lebda get an F with just 10-point outings this season? Too hard to judge, and unfair if it is like that. I'm indifferent on Kopecky and don't think he's the next coming of an all-star, but if Kopecky was useless he'd been off this roster a long time ago. And he's upped his game recently given his skill/production/game.

This team isn't too old or slow or soft like the popular taglines might suggest for Red Wings teams of recent memory. Since Babcock got hired has head coach, the team has turned away from just winning by talent alone and using a combination of both that all with constant skating, hard work, and grinding type play, regardless of age. The team is fine.

I say let the goalies use handguns. I'm all for placing limitations on goalie equipment. What restrictions exactly I don't know since I'm not an expert on it, but I don't like how people ridicule some goalies saying that they are only good because of their pad sizes. Does pad size certainly help? Without question, but what do you expect some of these people to do to make saves, throw ice at the other players like a kid telling them to go away?

Here's mine very quick without much rhyme/reason due to time constraints, so go easy on me accordingly... Hell yes. Anything with more than 2 legs scares the bejesus out of me. And they havve the ability to crawl up walls and ceilings and the like without any assistance, which really pisses me off and makes me jealous. And they can spin stuff and make webs and we can't! Ah well, I guess it is the human equivalent of pooping stuff out. Now that everybody is a little more sick, I'll stop with the spider references. The person below me has recently given or received a Wet Willie.

I like the Sharks 3rd very very much. Black and teal/light blue is a good color mix. I've never really minded the small numbers on the front of the jersey. Haven't seen the Kings yet.

That is just very, very disturbing... Why even go here and create drama that has no reason to be created, when what you suggested probably won't happen unless it is by an extreme over-the-top fan? This is a reason exactly why Wings fans generally speaking are nutjobs when it comes to goalies. And nutjobs isn't a good term. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20..._rare_atte.html Anyways, there is no controversy from this. Just another guy playing a bit better right now and getting more playing time accordingly and deservedly. Nothing more or less, so there's absolutely no need to make it into something more than it is.

Absolutely fun day after running a bajillion errands. Watched my college I went to kick rear in football yesterday afternoon to win their 10th game of the year, then went out to watch some more football then a good Wings victory while enjoying good bar music/bar smells/good alcohol. The person below me has had similar accidents while working out like what happened below.

Donald Driver's Father Beaten by Police

to people in law enforcement abusing their powers. While I've never come close to experiencing or being the victim anything like that, I have had an instance to where a police officer gave me an attitude when it was unnecessary as I was definitely acting in a non-threating manner in the situation and complying with what the cop wanted me to do. As a law enforcement officer, I already respect that you are in a position of power and have to show authority. I'm not going to challenge that, so don't go off the deep end on a power trip when it's not necessary. -
It looks like the BCS will have another non-BCS qualifier. I went out to watch most of the Utah-BYU football game and was able to watch all of it starting around late in the 2nd quarter. Utah just took BYU to school, which was a little surprising because BYU is good obviously and Utah's offense has been stuck in mud lately with just 13 points each in their previous two games. They just pistol whipped them though scoring 48 points and their defense caused over 5 turnovers I think. Their season is over at 12-0 and I doubt Boise St. will be able to leapfrog them. I can only think that if my school wasn't one of their victims in one of the games where they just scored 13 points to where we just absolutely giftwrapped that game for them, my school might be in the BCS as they dominated their last game. Oh well though, it's hard to be sour or upset over a 10/11 win season, and my school's been able to accomplish that now 3 times in the last 4 years. That's a pretty good track record. If 2 non-BCS schools were able to somehow crack the BCS in the same year, then it'd really be mass chaos for the system there. Oklahoma is still for real. I was glancing between that game and the Wings-Flames game while out and they just ran over and around Texas Tech.

In terms of risk being run over by a car, or trying to park their own car, or in terms of risk being a victim of giving back to Mother Nature? Regardless, it's obvious I don't get that whole episode, and I thankfully always have parked my car safely in my own garage, so I'd say no. The person below me has cursed and swore like the cartoon character Yosemite Sam before.

Is this the final chance? *shrugs*

I was fortunate to be able to listen and watch most of the celebration festivities at work as I was glued to my desk the whole day with projects and remember this. Part of me was laughing. Part of me was going "What the hell is he doing?" It was one of the moments for me that you laugh at, but you would personally never do.

Doesn't matter to me what station hockey is played on. It could be on the Home Shopping Network for all I care, just be on somewhere. I like the NHL on Versus, I'd like it back on ESPN. I just want to watch the sport.

I probably would if I knew what one was. The person below me thinks that there is no Easter Bunny, and that the Easter Bunny is just a guy in a suit.

Got any proof?

It's not an anti-*insert favorite team* thing at all. Just inconsistent officiating and too many instances of "evening out" calls or questionable calls when a team might have a big lead, regardless of who the team is. Not saying that all referees are incompetent, their jobs are hard enough as it is, but there's got to be ways to address the inconsistency etc.

Only did it once when there was a minor league hockey club where I went to college years and years ago, but there's no hockey down here. The person below me has smacked themselves in the face with a rake before, Sideshow Bob style.

I don't shave my legs period, but that's probably because I'm a male. The person below me has contemplated what living in a van down by the river would be like. *shrugs*
