As much as an idiot Matt Cooke can be on the ice and given his recent history, I fail to see how this is such a big deal or something more than just your run-of-the mill penalty.

How about we have a larger sample size of games before we deem if Jagr's return season is a success or not? In the meantime, good for him for getting a solid start.

Flipper is going to give half of his points this season to *thou shall not be named* so you can be happy and stop talking about him. We can all hope at least. As for Flipper himself, 50 seems like a nice goal. I've accepted that he's more of a two-way player than a guy to be primarily/solely counted on for offense alone. He has a great all-around game which makes him valuable. Whether you think that is enough to warrant his current salary because of any lack of offense or whatever, you be the judge.

My thoughts would probably be a little bit different if I was in Steve Moore's place, but it's got to be time to move on. Bertuzzi has gone above and beyond realizing that he f'ed up badly, apologizing, paying up so far. As much s**t as he takes from this (and this incident only) in general, a good bit of it deserved obviously for what he did, his response to this and owning up to it and moving on and learning to be at peace or live with what he did has just been second to none. Again, I honestly have no idea if Steve Moore is still feeling badly, obviously I would not wish what happened to him on anybody, but at some point there has got to be a point of forgiving and learning to live with this.

Trampoline. Never got the hang of a pogo stick and I'd probably hit myself in the no-nos quite often with a pogo stick. Was in Colorado Springs for a few days around last weeekend, two of many pictures I took. The first at the top of Pikes Peak Mountain, 14,110 feet above sea level after about a 19-mile drive. The second is about 17-miles up the mountain area.

^ COULD BE a bad contract, not is at present. The majority of people were s**tting a brick at the time of Datsyuk's and Kronwall's current contracts when they were starting out, saying they were overpaid as well. They've more than earned their keep. Does Ericsson have the same potential as those two? I don't think so. But COULD HE be worth his contract down the road? Without question yes. Unfortuantely that can't be determined yet and people are naturally prone to being more knee-jerkish instead of being patient and waiting how things will turn out in the overall sense.

In terms of just matchups and results alone, I'd go with Colorado 2002 series. So much talent on both rosters and those rosters showed their talents and results more often than not, going the distance. Even as a neutral observer (and while the series was still heated per se, I don't think tempers flew as much as the late 90s), it was as probably entertaining as you an get. Detroit-Philly in 1997 gets a close second as the Wings did plenty with less that series not being the favorites. In terms of significance or importance, Detroit-Philly by a heartbeat since it was the 1st Cup in 42 years for the Wings at the time.

Pretty much spot on. I dislike Crosby like pretty much everybody else in here but this is beyond stupid what I am seeing in here, like Crosby could've predicted that this tragedy could have happened on the same day of this scheduled conference and that Crosby is going to act all self-righteous saying look at me I'm cool and not talking about the tragic deaths. All this goes to show is how people's pettiness towards him in here is just absurdly off the deep end. 1. Crosby had no clue this would also happen on the same day. 2. While the wait one day to have this conference in consideration like some suggested is nice and theory and I can roll with this thought, this press conference was going to go on as scheduled unless something unforseen happened wherever Crosby or this press conference was. I don't see the big deal or how overly inconsiderate this is. 3. If they wanted to have a press conference, let them have one for f**k sake, Sidney Crosby/"famous person we like"/"famous person we don't like" or not. Given that Crosby is one of the main faces of the Pitt franchise whether we like it or not or whether we think that is fair or not, he is just that and given that he's been out for a long while, an update such as this doesn't hurt anybody. This is not the NYC Macy's Day Thanksgiving parade we are talking about here. 4. As much I think Crosby is a fuzznut, he's not stupid enough to be all LOOK AT ME and not for one minute not recognize the tragedy going on in Russia. The tragedy in Russia and the Crosby bit are two completely separate things, one all about the tragedy and one all about Crosby/Pitt. Let them be that way. I have little doubt that Pitt and Crosby realize the tragedies and gave them their fair respects. That's not what their conference was about though, and people in here need to quit making it out like it needed to be a huge part of their conference (or a part of it more than necessary). Happy now?
