I think it is comical that people are already before training camp/the season starts wanting to make trades of the current Stanley Cup Champions when, in all likelihood, the roster that won the Stanley Cup will probably be mostly intact, and that people are throwing Kopecky in the curb when he isn't even in the prime of his hockey career/playing age and we don't know his full potential yet.

I think everybody knows Jokinen is a helluva player, if it were that easy I'd love to have a guy like him on the Wings, but it would take a lot more to get him. Plus this team just won the Stanley Cup, Hudler is still young and has time to hopefully develop into a more consistent scorer (i.e. not be sporadic all regular season and turning it up in the playoffs) And I'm not ready to give up on Kopecky yet either due to him being young and the potential to be a consistently aggresively hitting forward. Torn ACLs are a ***** and a half to come back from, but it is very possible of course and he was leading the forwards in hits going into his injury. On the flip side, if you were wanting to do this trade now, Kopecky would garner little trade value because he is just coming off of a major injury and nobody knows yet how he'll respond to the injury. I have a lot of reservations trying to dramatically change a roster that just won the Stanley Cup unless the team just absolutely falls in the s**tter next season by not making the playoffs or making a respectable playoff run.

Groovy, that could make things much easier for me (could still have plenty of vacation time by Christmas then ). I am definitely more interested now since it is for a weekend and could accomodate more fans. Just need to see how much money is in the tank to spend as time draws closer if I want to do this.

I just accept that a combination of larger pads PLUS goalies in general being a bit better than they were years ago (as well as the game changing to be more defensive-minded from decades ago) have contributed a good bit to goalies having improved (or padded , yep a pun was intended there) stats. That makes it a lot easier for me to not waste heartburn over trying to figure out if it is actually pads or the goalies being better having that much more of a contribution.

I called 1-800-WINGS-25 number this morning and the representative told me to call the same number/person as well. I called that number when I had time, unfortunately around lunch hours and had to leave a voicemail to somebody that hasn't been returned yet. I called 1-800-WINGS-25 one more time late this afternoon and they told me to do the same thing again and I should check with that other number first before I possibly might double-order. Frustrating as it is, I don't want to pay twice so I'm just going to keep plugging along with these people a few more times. I feel like I'm dealing with FEMA here. vladdy16, was the book available at Borders on their online site at all? I did a search for it online to no avail.

I've had the problem as well filling out the online form with no response. I tried following up for a 2nd time this evening, but the phone number I dialed on the Red Wings Web site (1-800-WINGS-25) was unreachable apparently. Go figure. Don't know if it was possibly from calling from a cell phone perhaps. Going to give it another whirl once again tomorrow morning from a land line. Worst comes to worst, if I can't reach them on the phone I'll fill out the form again and hopefully an order will actually go through.

Definitely interest on my part since I've never been to Miami, shouldn't have a problem getting time off of work unless I have to travel for work related reasons, but a vacation in October along with regular monthly expenses my make the trip hard to justify.

Nothing needs to be changed about formatting or sudden death overtime or anything else about the playoffs. Nothing whatsoever. The higher seed has game 7 at home if it ever comes to that, that's the only important/vital thing to me in terms of games played at home/road in terms of seeding.

Negative. I understand your thought process but we have more than enough veteran prescence on the blue line but have enough depth to where I think the team can comfortably put in a few young guys off and on in Meech, Quincey, Ericcson, and so forth (assuming one of Stuart or Lilja re-signs).

Right. Plain old black coffee is just tastes bad though despite having zip calories. BAD!!!!!!!!!! I got to have sweetener and sugar in my coffee. I've never been one to purposefully skip meals or be anorexic, far from it, but I just rarely eat big meals when I am on a normal routine during the week. And while I'm not going to just abandon or drastically change how I lost a lot of weight a few years ago to get to more of a healthy state, I never once did consider metabolism in the grand scheme of things with dieting until I read your couple of posts on it here. Those posts and reading up on it a bit more on the 'Net was pretty interesting. I'm not going to drastically change my food habits like I said as I think I look/feel physically healthy, but I will now consider metabolism intake on a more consistent basis now with my dieting to increase my calorie intake some for weight maintenance, by either maybe having a light snack or two outside of my normal meals or having a glass of wine or beer at home on a more consistent basis.

When did you order tiff? I probably ordered mine or filled out the online form right around the beginning of this month I think, still I've seen nothing on my bank statements. Guess I'll wait until later this week and maybe follow up one more time if I haven't heard or seen anything yet. As for people already getting theirs, I'm probably just assuming what was said a few posts ago, ran out of initial stock and had to reproduce some more.
