Nah. The person below me, while not wanting anybody to die obviously and wishing Amy Winehouse (is that even how you pronounce her last name?) were still in the world, has not cared to pay more attention than necessary whatsoever to the typical overhyping of a singer/star's death.

I'm male, and dyeing my hair (twice) when I was younger was one of the most goofiest and stupidest things I have ever done in my life (not that I'm much more smart now ). The second time I butchered dyeing it that I had to dye it back more to my natural hair color. (EDIT: I dyed my hair blond both times) So, go grey. Besides, while I do consider how you look to be important in life, if you're bald or are getting older/greyer, who cares? It's who you are, can't stop it, nothing to be embarassed about. I'll eventually bald and go grey as well so... *shrugs* Funnier accident... or

What silliness! -
1. Tomas Holmstrom 2. Chris Chelios 3. No idea 4. Sergei Fedorov. Regardless of whether you think he was at fault or the victim in leaving in 2004, he played a part in leaving (just like mgmt.) and it wasn't a good departure. 5. No idea

Perhaps, but I'm also addicited to other things like cartoons or watching people get hurt physically (as long as there's no permanent damage ). *shrugs*

I always have ample supply of wine in my house, so in a way yes. The person below me thinks the commentary in this video is funny, espeically towards the end.

If Roy didn't commit the Statue of Liberty Gaffe in game 6, perhaps no. But he did, so I'll say yes. While definitely a topic of good discussion and debate, it is incredibly open ended/subjective that there's no really right or wrong answers here.

Pretty much it. I also went to Reunion Arena a few times where the Stars used to play when I was in college in the Dallas Metroplex, and both arenas were pretty much just a simple basic bowl shape with two levels. Obviously lacking on the amentities side or look/feel vs. modern arenas or whatever, but at either Reunion or JLA there really was never a bad seat in the house. Little/no obstructions and you are on top of the action in pretty much any seat. Always enjoyed watching games in both arenas.

Nothing really to deduct or figure out in regards to this. Like others have said, it's some combination of talent, work ethic and some luck here/there. Sometimes the breaks just don't go your way. To compare to a championship event recently, if you watched the World Cup that ended just recently, this country is one of the best soccer nations year in and year out, if not the best, at least on the women's side. They've already won 2 World Cups since the women's side started playing them in the early 90s every 4 years. They got all the way to the final game and were playing Japan. Historically USA never lost to Japan in about 25 matches. And that game they probably played their best game of the whole World Cup Tournament that final game, the effort was definitely there but they just couldn't quite score enough. Part of it was not finishing, part of it was hitting posts on shots twice. Japan stuck with it, did just enough to hang with the U.S., forced overtime/extra time, and won in penalty kicks. And while we outplayed them just about the entire match, they deserve full credit for hanging in and finishing the job. Sometimes you just can't finish and breaks can't go your way sometimes. Also happened plenty to the Red Wings in recent memory unfortuantely (i.e. 2003 playoff series vs. Anaheim and 2006 playoff series vs. Edmonton where Giguere and Roloson were almost 1-man wrecking crews in upsetting the Wings early).

I agree with the majority that pretty much all cities and all teams have their share of either moronic, obnoxious, bi-polar fans, you name it. I deal with plenty of insane Saints and LSU fans down here. I don't like to rant and rave over and over again, I don't consider myself bi-polar, I don't like overreacting pre-maturely, etc. etc., but people that might have these traits are just as much of a fan, and care just as much as myself as well. I'm no better or worse than them, and they are no better or worse than me, we all want our favorite teams to win. I just choose to stay away from these traits or people or attitude or whatever as much as I can. EDIT: If there's one thing I hate regarding this, it's the real vs. fake fan bulls**t just because somebody might not be a full time cheerleader. And it's happened plenty on here from holier than thou people (I used to do it too). Again I rarely ever agree or go down the route of people who might like to vent or possibly overreact, but I usually understand where they are coming from, and in most sitautions I usually try to let them have their moments without being rude or telling them to chill out. It'd be nice if everybody was an eternal optimist or a cheerleader and we could all hold hands and sing kumbayah. But the odds of that happening, for fans of any team, is about as realistic as Bill Clinton not lieing again for the rest of his life. Ain't happening. So while the composer of this blurb has valid points, he fails to recognize that this is pretty much how it is across any city and any fan base, whether it is right/wrong, absurd or normal. And it ain't changing anytime soon.

Thank god I already ate dinner. Anyways, depends on how you approach it. If you focus solely or primarily on now or immediate impact, I'd pick Draper. You know what you get from him pretty much every game with hustle and hard work. However, if he returns, it's all but his last year probably. Long-term, it is Hudler without question. You don't know night in/out the effort or output you will get from him, I wouldn't miss him all that much if he got traded, but I think this is the year whether we know if last year was just subpar/an abberation, or if the KHL/adjustment affects him long-term. If it was a given that Hudler was going to be traded, I'd go with Draper. But since that is not fully known, I'll pick Hudler, largely because he still has a lot of years left in him.

(EDIT: Trying to be "nicer" *sigh* Hudler's and Filppula's biggest defenders going at it...AGAIN...where we already know where you all stand) As for Holland, I'd give a B+. Like many here, I first raised an eyebrow at the amount Ericsson was re-signed for. But Heaten pretty much sums up my thoughts. Datsyuk and Krownall at the times of their contracts were still pretty unproven with tons of potential and many were miffed at those contracts at the time as well. They both have performed to those contracts now. Now I don't think Ericsson has that same potential amount (which is entirely subjective), but I do think he still has potential and room to improve, and didn't mind if he was re-signed. Again was surprised at the amount, but with so many teams overpaying for free agents, that made it a little easier pill to swallow. Re-signed Eaves and Miller to cheap contracts, both good contributors given their roles. Definitely good things. I'm hoping this doesn't put Emmerton at risk of being lost at waivers for nothing, but I wanted to see both of them re-signed. I know others have felt differently esp. about Miller in regards which I certainly understand. You can make the argument that Miller is replacable but I like him. Both sides have a legitmate argument. Signed Ian White to hopefully replace some of the offensive defenseman potential that Rafalski left in retirement. Signed Commodore to hopefully play physical and fill that 5th/6th d-man spot. All things considering, the defensive depth is pretty solid even if some are miffed at the Ericsson re-signing. Janik provides an experienced 7th d-man being a minor/NHL journeyman. Signed MacDonald who has experience as both a 3rd and backup goaltender, and Conklin once again. Both familiar and comfortable with the Red Wings. If somehow a goal scorer can still be signed realisitcally, I'd love for such a move but if not, I'm pretty content with the roster as is.

K... Overall he still played well in the playoffs all things considered. Perhaps you need to be a little less paranoid about the goalkeeping. Can't stop 'em all and everybody let's in a bad one here and there. For Howard's salary and his situations the past two (and first two) seasons of full-time duty, he's done very well all things considering.

Red Wings sign Ty Conklin to 1 year contract

Did you watch the playoffs this past season? That Jimmy Howard fellow played pretty good in them. And to re-signing Conklin if it is true. -
Mordecai I guess. Bungee Jumping or Sky Diving
