All righty, the limited few times I have seen Don Cherry, I thought he was a jackass. Well he still is (), but after watching him and Hull yap away during the 2nd intermission, how can you not like this guy? Behind him being loud and obnoxious though, he seems to know what he's talking about. And when he jabbed at Hull for his foot in the crease goal, I just lost it laughing my a** off. I wouldn't be surprised if I my neighbors heard me. LMFAO, he just called somebody a tree hugger on the air!

Any offense from Draper is a bonus, we all know he is a shut-down forward/winger. And for people who seem to find a hobby out of finding fault with one's grammar or typing when it is perfectly fine for a sports forum, get over it please.

So you are saying that no Red Wing fan in this nation, none at all would brush questionable plays if the Wings played this kind of game? I'm not saying that this group of players currently does, but they aren't always perfect angels on the ice either. If you think that, then you are dead wrong then. While I can't comment on a majority of fans, I still say and strongly believe if the Wings played a kind of game like this, some fans would brush questionable plays aside. Maybe not the smartest fans would support it, but it the feelings would be there. That is guaranteed. So why don't you lighten up for once in your life.

We are all getting way too carried away with this Ducks being a cancer to hockey. Do the Ducks play physical? Yes. Have they made some questionable plays? Yes. Perry’s cross-check to the head warranted more than a minor penalty last night I think. Is Pronger an idiot with his physical play? Yes. Do I support those actions? No. Are all the Ducks like that? No, and we all need to accept that and get over it. You can also call out the Senators for diving and embellishing, last game in particular. Embellishments certainly aren’t good for the game either. Whether you think the Ducks' "normal" actions or the Senators embelishments are better/worse, you be the judge. I'd say the Ducks are worse between the two obviously, but there are plenty of other things to try to fix first over the Ducks “questionable†playing style, like consistency of officiating, calling diving and embellishments more often, and figuring out how to keep FULL NHL games on television after regulation, and a whole lot more. The Ducks play is way, way down on the bottom of that list to me. If officials after this season agreed to call as much as possible tight to where it is almost figure skating out there, the Ducks would adapt and stop. If the refs go on the opposite end of the spectrum and let more physical play in with very few penalties, it’s not going to be just the Ducks that might play “questionableâ€Â. Are the Ducks a major source or the main source in ruining hockey? Is hockey even completely ruined at all right now? Not even close on either question, so let’s all try to get a grip here. And if anybody tries to take this post out of context or accuses me of not caring or not being a “real†fan or puts words into my mouth of biased or dumb towards the referees, Ducks, or who the hell knows what else because I might be thinking against popular opinion in here, save it.

Just like in the Ducks disgrace thread, I refuse to go to an extreme of opinion when I don't really know all that much about either the Ducks or the Senators. The Ducks play physical, yes, but I'd have to watch them a lot more to consider them all "dirty", not just Pronger. I'm not seeing it. Ottawa, I just don't know much about. Regardless, that slapper by Alfredsson straight at Niedermeyer just a few feet away was not smart. Not smart at all. That being said, I'm betting that 1 idiotic play doesn't completely definte the Ottawa Senators club either.

All right I don’t get these things… Why do bullies act the way they do? Can bullies ever be nice? Why do all bullies seem to be big and strong? How come some of the animals on Looney Tunes can talk, while some talk very little, and none are able to talk at all? What makes characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Speedy Gonzales so special that they can talk all the time? Why does Wile E. Coyote talk very little? Why does the Road Runner not talk at all, other than “beep beepâ€Â? The logic just doesn’t add up to me. And on that note, why does Wile E. Coyote fall all the time? Why can’t skinny dipping be legal? Why do we call it “flipping the birdâ€Â, when it looks nothing like what a bird would look like when we actually flip the bird? Did Diddy do it? What did he do? What didn’t he do? What hasn’t Diddy done? Have we actually been there and done that? Where have we done it? And what is it that we did?

I like him a lot. Not as hard-nosed as former LSU/MSU coach Nick Saban (you ought to listen how well he's regarded down here now /sarcasm), but he seems to have a good mix of attitude of hard work and being in your face, along with being the father/mentor type, he doesn't seem to sway too much to either extreme. I immediately was on the defense for him, because fans were already on his back just as his first season started because he wasn't "Nick Saban" and he hasn't won a National Championship yet. While I like to set the bar high on expecatations, people and LSU fans need a reality check every now and then. The SEC is brutal, even though LSU should always be good with ridiculous amounts of talent for years and years to come, they aren't going to contend for the National Championship or win the SEC Championship/West every year. Given what Miles has had to put up with, 11-2 his first season after having to deal with such unforseen circumstances dealing with Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in Louisiana resulting in a solid Peach Bowl win against Miami, to another 11-2 record this past season beating ND pretty good in the Sugar Bowl, I'd say he's done a helluva job so far.

You sound like obstruction in the game is a brand new invention. Is it legal, no, but you post like the Ducks are the only team in the history of the planet to do this. This has been going on in the league for a while and it isn't going away anytime soon. Sorry, I don't take a camera and analyze every single detail of every single play, I'd rather enjoy the games instead of figuing out what is constantly wrong with a team taking notes every 30 seconds. Not worth my time and heartburn. The Ducks play aggressive but people, especially you, are just overblowing how they play completely because of Pronger's stupid decisions. I can guarantee you if the Wings were in the Finals and played physical (I already know you are going to come back at me with BUT THE WINGS DON'T PLAY LIKE THAT, they are perfect honorable gentlemen, etc., so save it), people would be brushing it aside and defending the Wings actions saying "Them's the breaks, we got to play physical to play this game and win." Etc. etc. Don't remember seeing that. Sorry, but you are letting the dispicable actions of one person to just completely overdramtize and overanalyze how a team plays. *awaits you don't know hockey comment and you haven't watched past games comments*

I still say Pronger is the only real big problem with the Ducks, not any of the other players. They are not goons, they don't just intentionally beat the crap out of people just for the sake of it. They play physical, but I wouldn't call them head hunters by any stretch of the imagination. Not even close. Pronger is the only problem with his infrequent cheap shots. However, this could be detrimental to his team in time because he is an alternate captain. He is supposed to be one of the leaders. He needs to lead by example. Head shots aren't a good example, and not taking responsibility that he screwed up on the Holmstrom hit is a bad example. I will be really, really disappointed in him if he doesn't take responsibility for this incident. And it is a shame that the Ducks potentially winning a Cup could be tarnsihed by Pronger's questionable hits, because the idiotic plays that Pronger has committed does not fully define what the Ducks organization is about. Pronger is the only main problem.

All right here are some more things that are annoying the hell out of me... What's the difference between Jane Doe, Joe Blow, Joe Schmoe, and John Smith? What makes these four people so special that their names are used so generically? Why the hell do coffee houses have to be so cool and fancy by say grande and vente or whatever the hell they use to define cup sizes? Why can't they just be NORMAL and say small/medium/large? And why the f**k do they have to create all these goofy flavors and everything. I JUST WANT REGULAR COFFEE, not an extended mocha cappa froppa poopa floopa doopa chino! COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do we use the phrase "in your own words"? I'm just using the same words everybody else is using. Seems kinda silly to me. Why the f**k do people say that the world is held by ductape? This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life. If the world would have been held by ductape, we would have fallen right through and still be falling down some black hold into the cosmos or something. Who shot the sheriff? Did this person also shoot the deputy? Why did this person shoot the sheriff and possibly the deputy?

While it looks good that the NHL did something again about this, just 1 game again, with a repeat offender, is not good. I would've given him 2-3 games.

Opinions are fine. Lou I know you like the physical game, I do too, but that still doesn't make it right. While I haven't see him on a regular basis so I could be inaccurate, I don't read about Chara, who is 6'9" and it taller than everybody in the league, just deck people up high like the nature of what Pronger did last night and to Holmstrom.

Somebody is being a drama queen. The igonre button is going to be a nice feature on you.

Yeah, great weather all year round, multiple sports options, hockey included. It must really suck to be a fan out there.
