While I understand where you and Heaton are coming from, breaking the record for shutouts in the playoffs at the time has to count for something. Vancouver I'll admit with everybody else other than games 3 and 5 (don't really remember 4) he wasn't good but he was pretty solid against Colorado and St Louis minus that 6-1 blowout where we were on the losing side. And eva, if Hasek handed game 5 away to Colorado that series, I guess that post that Brendan Shanahan hit with nearly a minute left in the 3rd period had NOTHING to do with the outcome and had very little chance of being the game winner if it went in.

Good for the Eagles. And I'll be the first to admit, Owens can play, anybody who thinks otherwise is nuts I think. And I'm not denying that he made sacrafices to try to win it all, playing hurt to try to win the Super Bowl. I find that pretty admirable. However, that doesn't discount the actions that recently happened and him being a jackass and controversial more often than not. He's made sacrafices, but he's also been a selfish idiot at the same time trying to get more money when he's already rich off his ass and already under a pretty legit contract, and while he was a whiney brat thinking he was all alone in celebrating his 100th career TD. Boo-fricken-hoo. I'm sure we could all gather up other things as well. I'm all for having entertaining athletes, but not ones that just want to stir up controversy for the hell of it and get themselves in trouble and hurt their teammates and organization. However, I'm more of a "just go about your business" kind of person. That's why I have so much respect for past/present athletes like Yzerman or John Stockton. Remember Stockon? There aren't many like him anymore unfortunately. Both are definitely considered to be superstars, they produced/are producing for their respective teams, and they just work, go home, go back to work, and produce. Just consistently in a routine without any outside distractions. They get their job done. I can't stand primadonna idiots.

That could be a safe bet, and I think they'll beat OU this year, they haven't looked good barely beating Tulsa University and losing to my school last week, who also played like a bunch of f***tards and losing to the lowly SMU Mustangs last night (not surprised they played down to the competiton). There's still plenty of football to be played, but with the first two weeks gone you have to wander if OU will be top-10 this year.

Throwing things on the field is 100 times worse than being an inconsiderate winner. If the situations were reversed and it was in South Bend, alot of UofM fans would be screaming for sanctions against ND for stuff being thrown on the field. No there's no difference. Doing both is immature and low. I disagree. I look at the pistons-pacers brawl. The fans that booed and jeered because the game got called and the pacers tried to attack the fan are not to blame. The ones that threw stuff at the players or tried to fight the pacers went overboard and they are very much deserving of being prosecuted like they currently are being. According to you, there is no difference. I think there is a huge difference. Difference in that way...of course. It's still low no matter what whether it's engaging either in starting s**t with fans or players, throwing stuff on playing surfaces, or whatever else just to try to prove you are better than somebody else.

All of it's classless whether it's throwing crap on the field, or rubbing victories in, or whatever else. Don't get me wrong, I like beating archrivals or teams that always win or you just don't like. When TCU upset OU last week, I was thrilled to death because I certainly don't like OU that much, but saying that they suck or TCU is better is just ludicrous cause OU is still the better program overall. It's a win, be happy, celebrate with class, and move on. Rubbing it in is just as classless and throwing things on the field.

Interesting..... If this were any other 42-year old, maybe excluding Igor Larionov, I'd have a fit. I hope Thomas isn't a first option right now but I'd take him over a whole lot of other seasoned performers and playoff veterans. Just use him in a limited role on a 3rd or 4th line.
