What are some of the best rivalries out there in any level of competition, popular or more hidden and important to you? In no particular rank or order, here's mine... Detroit Red Wings vs. Colorado Avalanche Michigan Wolverines vs. Ohio State Buckeyes Texas Longhorns vs. Oklahoma Sooners Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees TCU Horned Frogs vs. Louisville Cardinals...more of a personal, it's a shame we both aren't in the same conference anymore, when my school joined C-USA in 2000, it was turning into a pretty good rivalry between the schools especially in football because we beat them three years straight, two where we whipped the snot out of them (37-22, 45-31) as pretty big underdogs, then Louisville had their awesome year last season and smoked everybody in their path, TCU included USC Trojans vs. Notre Dame Irish LSU Tigers vs. Mississippi Rebels...more of a personal as I'm a big LSU fan Which is the bigger rival to Michigan though, OSU or MSU? I could go on and on with other more regional or lesser-known rivalries, but I'll leave that up to other posts. As you can probably tell, I'm as big of a college football junkie as I am a hockey goof.
