Good lord, blueadams is trying to turn as into raging alcoholics with all these line combo threads!

Grass is always greener on the other side mentality pretty much applies to most fan bases, generally speaking. This example is no exception.

In our conference room if that counts. I push it a lot. But I like pushing a lot of things like a little kid. The person below me thinks that it'd be funny to count upward in sending rocket ships off to the moon instead of counting down.

Is Filppula going to be our 3rd line center...or 1st line winger?
SouthernWingsFan replied to a topic in General
Meh, he'll probably be both at times. Line combinations are always going to change. -
Not really. I'm learning that some things in life are always going to stink, some things that I don't like are just a part of life, I don't ***** about them or complain about how I'm worse off than people or what I don't have and I pretty much accept these things as they are and point and laugh at them and just enjoy life regardless. Bitching gets counterproductive after a while. I can only take care of myself. The person below me thinks it'd be cool if to climb walls with silly putty.

Always, but never over 45. Between 40-45 thankfully. The person below me thinks this is funny.

Hudler's clucking talent alone will help the Wings win the Cup. *shrugs*

Hossa didn't own jack squat. I see your point and definitely recognize hard work and backchecking and the like - stuff that doesn't go on the stat sheet usually. I'm happy that he finally got a Stanley Cup, more power to him for contributing in different ways than goals. However, a good part of his salary comes from producing goals and points. Something that he hasn't done all that much in the postseason outside of maybe 2 or 3 times. Neither side is right or wrong. So quit getting your panties in a bunch if people think Hossa didn't do his part to help Chicago win. The argument that he did other things outside of points is legitmate, so is his lack of goal scoring production.

It's really cute and incredibly irritating at the same time the amount you defend Hudler over every. single. little. thing. when we all already know what's going to come out of your mouth/keystrokes. Anyways, the addition of Hudler should help add some more offense, but honestly this team doesn't need much of an overhaul. Hopefully just a little bit more luck with the injury situation and Howard - while he was inconsistent at times in the postseason, overall though in both regular season and playoffs I think he passed the test - to continue to play consistent, and this team has as good a shot as anybody. With the way parity is in this league nowadays no matter how much we might like it or not, the playoffs and the race for a championship is almost always wide open.

You aren't going to win any fans in here on a Red Wings forum with your high and mighty Chicago act saying they were the best team in the league all year. That is highly debatable. However, they won when it counted most. They were no more or less lucky than Detroit was in 2008, than Pittsburgh was in 2009, whatever. You need some luck and good bounces and breaks to help you win sometimes, and good teams also make their own breaks and capitalize on good breaks. Detroit did this in 2008, Pittsburgh did it in 2009, and Chicago did it in 2010, no matter how many nutjobs and conspiracy theorists on here want to spin it in some way that Bettman fixed the games for Pitt last year, that the refs were awful in the Detroit San Jose series this season (which they were but San Jose deserved to advance that series), whatever else...
