Ott and Kaleta on the same team. Who would be the perfect center for those two?

Actually it was his leg. How you ask? No idea. Perhaps the pen was Brad Marchand.

I would go with Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Franzen Parise-Filppula-Doan But like Marian Hossa, if Parise comes to Detroit, they'll probably promise him that he'll play with either Datsyuk or Zetterberg. Well I don't think your first statement is completely fair just yet. He proved he can put up points and that gives him confidence for this upcoming contract year. Now the goal or next step for him is to put up the points and take care of the centerman duties. He still isn't a finished product imo. Or at least, I don't think it's quite fair to say he's done developing, especially when you got Pav and Z in front of you. But I agree with your second statement. I like him as the third line center sometimes because then it shows some dangerous depth. Just imagine if the Wings were so powerful that you had Franzen-Filppula-(Right Wing) as your third line.

Dayum indeed. SMH... God that'd be so awesome.

Sidney Crosby signs 12-year, $104.4M Contract, $8.7M/yr

Pun intended? -
Parise-Datsyuk sounds quite awesome indeed. I can't quite put into words how I imagine those two would play together. In my eyes they would be pretty different from a Parise-Crosby combo, which I imagine would be probably the deadliest north-south combo in the league and thus fantasy hockey power.

Sidney Crosby signs 12-year, $104.4M Contract, $8.7M/yr

It's because Crosby loves the number 87. His birthday is 8/7/87. Hence his jersey number. Hence the reason why the Consol Energy Center seats 18,087 people. See I don't know what kind of standard GMs want to go by, especially our own. Sid's cap hit is 8.7 but he could be making 13-14 a year depending on the structure of the contract. Therefore, is a cap hit higher than 8.7 justifiable if the individual will only make something like 9.5 in actual dollars for that year? He'll have a higher cap hit than Crosby but he won't make more money. -
Well that sucks.
-
Not quite sure why he wants out of Boston.
-
Maybe if Fil plays more like the Koivu brothers I can see him as a captain.

Tis a good read. I remember that article.

Arnett's impersonation of Shanahan was just terrible. My God. Impersonations are an extremely short-term comedy style anyways but that one wasn't even legitimate.

I can already see the next fight between Bertuzzi and Weber.
-
I hope so. Among the players on the team I'd pick him. The C on his jersey is definitely another priviledge/burden to weigh on his mind though. Z's ability to rise to the occasion is something he'll have to really put to use because the team really needs him now.

How do you check out the skin feature? That sounds dirty but it's a serious question.

I thought Weber would eventually win it. He might have next year's on lockdown if he has just a good season due to any of this year's voter's remorse. And a lot of people want Shane Doan to be a Red Wing. I'm also very intrigued by the idea to say the least. But I could've sworn he's made the same ref complaints in regards to the Wings. I feel like I vaguely remember him doing so just a couple years ago. It's that kind of thing that makes me wonder that he simply wouldn't consider Detroit as a place to play.

Wow... You know, when I saw he had the nomination I wasn't surprised. I am a little surprised he actually won it though.
