That's just kind of a newbie statement. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I don't get the sense any Wings forum has grown to love Hudler, which I take as an indication that Wings fans in general as a collective haven't really grown to love Hudler. He has his share of stubborn fans for sure but I don't think the majority of Wings fans would miss him too much if he left.

Did Datsyuk even show up? I'd be surprised if he did.

I need to go back into my VHS library and maybe I'll find some footage of what the lines were to start the season. I'm fairly sure they weren't even close to what they were in the playoffs. I remember the Shanahan-Fedorov-Draper line because it was the main reason for Draper's career year.

Aren't oddsmakers guided by flash more than anything? I'm not surprised that they chose the Pens. Years of tanking have allowed them to have both of the modern day versions of Gretzky (Crosby) and Mario Lemieux (Malkin), which seems to be pretty appealing to the media and oddsmakers. Didn't Vegas say that the Tigers have a 4 or 5 to 1 odds to be the next winners of the World Series mostly because they had the MVP combo of Verlander/Cabrera and then added Fielder? Most of my family was pretty surprised they made the odds that good for the Tigers.

I'm surprised the Wings even have that good of odds. Mostly because I've seen too many people argue that the current Wings team isn't even a playoff team.

Didn't the Wings get something out of trading Hossa's rights to LA or something?

It's intriguing to imagine Radulov on Datsyuk's wing to say the least. At the same time he does have some issues with the disciprine and who knows if he can get his head, for the most part, in the NHL and not the KHL.

I was thinking that this thread should have more pages of replies in it. At the same time, I would think that no matter what.
