Win without Lidstrom? Did you watch that playoff? We wouldn't have made it out of the 1st round. We were down 0-2 to the Canucks and it was Lidstrom who scored from center ice on Cloutier to turn that game and series around. That was a pivotal point in that cup run. -

I look for players that changed the game when I think about retiring their number. I think the only one that fits the mold is Fedorov. He was a big part of the Russian infusion into the NHL. He was a role model for probably every Russian player since he played his first game as a wing. I would feel comfortable retiring his number but as much as I like the other options, I would say no. -

Ye but I'd rather see Ott on the 4th line because toughness is something we desperately lack. Miller's job can be passed on to someone else in the lineup. The Helm signing was the worst of the off-season. -

Both lineups have issues. We absolutely need to make a trade. AA has to be in the lineup. And so does Mantha but I don't want to see Mantha on the 4th line. Especially with him having issues with confidence. He needs to be in a position to succeed. The more I look at the lineup, the angrier I get that we re-signed Helm and Miller. I think we would have been better off in the long run without them. -

He obviously can't keep them all, so some will be moved. But he will keep the nucleus which he has already started signing Stammer and Hedman to long term deals. This year is their best year to win it all. The time is now for Tampa. -

Much rather keep Tatar if we trade one but all the articles say we would be more likely to trade him over Nyquist cuz he is due for a 4.5 mill contract. I say who cares. Keep the better player. -

Yea as much as I want to see a trade now, I don't see anything imminent. Teams don't need to make a trade right now that the draft and the hustle and bustle of free agency is over. They might as well wait till training camp and see who is making the team and who isn't and then trade. I'm preparing for the current team to go into training camp. -

The other dilemma is Sproul, Ouellet, and Jensen are out of waiver options. So we need to make a trade or risk losing prospects for nothing. -
Maybe them giving it to Abby will be the kick in the butt he needs to start earning his paycheck.

I wish we could trade Ouellet, Pulks/Jurco, and a first for Fowler. Relieves some of the logjam at forward and gives up a defenseman who can play the puck and the point on the PP. -

Yea I don't see how this can be the team that we go into the season with. Holland is so protective of assets so I don't see us losing players for nothing. There has to be a trade and my guess is it will be Fowler. And I don't buy when he says he is done. Just like I didn't buy when he said he wasn't optimistic to trade Datsyuk's contract. -
