Here is why I am so confused with holland right now because where is cleary going to fit with all of these forwards?

They must be convinced that Brunner is not going to be the real deal. That's the only explanation that makes sense to me.

Great day yesterday for holland but the moment he trades eaves or tootoo to make room for Cleary signing a 2.75 million a year, 3 year deal and let's Brunner walk this offseason becomes a major fail. I don't get what his fascination with cleary is. Does Cleary do his taxes or something?!

I agree, I think he still would be a top 6 and we can still have my dream 3rd line of Helm Nyquist and Tater...aka the fastest hardest working line in the league.

If I had to guess, he is prolly looking for a long term deal so he can settle down with a team.

I really hope something changes and he realizes he was home all along. I do respect that he isn't out for the money and wants to find the right fit. Makes me want a player like that even more!

I think that eventually dats and Z will be split up again with this lineup. I love them playing together but we would essentially have two top lines with them split up.

Looking at next years free agent crop I'm actually happy we are resisting a lot of these big contracts. We are going to have over $20 million in cap space with 12 players signed and allow us to go after a couple big fish and make room for our young guys. Love the Alfie signing now!

I am happy that we should have some cap space for next year. Next years free agent class is light years better than this years! -
I'm happy decisions are being made today and we don't have to wait a week to figure out if we got someone or not like last year.
