You are ok with trading away prospects and draft picks for the 2nd best player in the world for one season?

Unbelievably great player but I'd rather have four solid lines then two great lines and two lines of scrubs cuz we don't have the prospects or cap space.

I can totally see holland trading his rights away for a 6th or 7th rounder if he stays firm on his 5 million demands. Sure he was great on a couple if plays and we had a great playoff run I will always remember. My point is that maybe we could have gotten a first rounder for Fill that could have turned out to Be a super star down the road. It's all speculation either way.

I agree with all of this Filpulla talk and it just makes me hate Holland more for not trading Fill for a draft pick when he had the chance!

I feel like all these conversation are futile. The last two awful July 1st's have lead me to believe that the wings will resign Fil, cleary, and Miller, and holland will say our off-season additions are a healthy bertuzzi, helm, and Sammy. We Like Our Team!!!

Remember back when we were discussing prospects during the Parise/Suter sweepstakes and people were saying how stacked Minnesota's farm system was....look at the talent we have in Grand Rapids. It's salivating!!!

It's weird to think the Wings have only had two first round picks since 2008.
