Not when he was 20. -

At this rate I think he's got to be the betting favorite. Veleno is f*cking terrible. Zadina at least gets chances. The puck absolutely dies the second it's on Veleno's stick. I mean, if something doesn't click for that guy soon he won't be in the league long. He's never been good defensively and now it's obvious he doesn't have pro level offense either. -

On any given night we dress about 12 guys who have no realistic chance of scoring a goal. -

Detroit is a totally different team without Bertuzzi. He’s about to get PAID. -

Seider just mushed some poor bastard behind Detroit’s net. His lower body strength is insane. He looks skinny and he just blows guys up. -

Woof, one period down. Namestnikov’s dumb penalty costs us one, and Hronek getting torched by Josi one on one costs us the other. -

Same. I'm like you, nothing gets guys like us going more than a big, burly, bearded bear like Witkowski forcing some lesser man into submission with his bare hands. So hot. Come to think about it, you've been a fan of the "rough stuff" for as long as anyone around here. We should get together some time and watch that movie "300"? So good. -

Nothing says winning like the presence of Luke Witkowski on an NHL team's blue line. -

Pretty sure he just got suspended for two games in the AHL so I'm assuming that's why he's the call up. -

I’d take Roslovic in a hot second. He’s been scratched (and buried in depth lines) because he’s terrible defensively and CBJ coach Brad Larson is trying to be a hardass in his first season. But Roslovic is an offensive stud and his faceoffs have improved. I see him as a Mark Scheifelle type. Bad defensively, but good enough offensively that when paired with solid defensive wingers he’s still a net positive. He just needs to be balanced out with a good two way center on another line. Put him with Raymond and Zadina, and Lakin with Bert and Vrana and our top six would be sick. -
Speaking of, Carter Mazur and Shai Buium are having REALLY good freshmen seasons in the NCAA. Red Savage too, to a lesser extent. In terms of the whole class, the 2021 draft might shape up to be Yzerman's best so far. I think it's very realistic we get 4 NHL regulars out of the draft (Edvinsson, Cossa, Buium, and Mazur), with the potential for one or two more (Savage, Nilsson)

Gotta be better than tonight's Griffins game. Woof. Aside from Berggren we have ZERO talent in GR. Can't wait till next year when out Swedish contingent comes over and runs rough shod over the AHL.
-
Veleno set to play on the 2nd line wing tomorrow with Suter and Zadina. This should help facilitate a little offense out of him. I genuinely like him in this role.

Fabbri is going nowhere, for better or worse he’s part of the leadership group. Also, can’t keep letting go of Larkin’s buddies without eventually making him want to leave too.

I'm having a hard time understanding this graphic. How does Boston have better odds of making the playoffs than we do?

I can't wait until the 2025 debut of the Houston Trailer Parkers. -
Gunslinger? Hitman? I just assumed he was in a ska band.

I always wondered what happened to that guy. He was a hilarious Mod. Like Cartman when he's the hallway monitor. Harold once tried to suspend me for saying something that he had literally said a page or two earlier in the thread. When I appealed the ban and showed the other mods, and Matt, that he had used the same language earlier in the thread he accused me of using a "different tone" than he had used. The word he wanted to be me for? "Slappy".

What's the source of this graphic?

The actual Harold Snepts or the Mod? Both options are equally likely.

It's especially bad because the Devil's have one of the coolest jersey/logo designs in the league. They don't need to change a thing. -

Well as it stands we might all have sold them short considering they're in a playoff position and we all know the old adage about being in a playoff spot by Thanksgiving. I can very easily see a reality in which we get Vrana back, make a trade or two, and get in. -
Here's a really good article on Rossi and why he missed time: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01456-3

It's entirely possible that we got the best three players from each of the last three drafts. Or at least, we got guys that are on par with the best players of each of those drafts. I'm still not convinced that Owen Power is any better than Edvinsson, and I think Edvinsson still has quite a lot of room for improvement too.
