I think Raymond and Berggren are both on the team after the deadline (provided they're playing well) because I think at least two of Fabbri, Namestnikov, or Bertuzzi are traded by then.
-
Totally agree, I definitely think we're a genuinely better team this season. But I also think we were really playing good to close out last season. Pair those things with the fact that a normal schedule means more games against inferior opponents and I think we're in line for a pretty big step up in the "wins" column.

LOL, so cops killing unarmed/innocent people isn't a problem because the media reports on it? I realize that you MAGA weirdos tie yourselves in knots trying to figure out how the media is to blame for everything, but even you have to admit that when the cops murder a guy for passing a counterfeit $20 bill it's fairly newsworthy right? Or should the media just stick to sports? Edit: Also, don't half of you support the same group that stormed the Capital and beat a bunch of cops half to death? I love you pretend to care about cops (when you wanna own the Libs) but then you also don't seem to give a damn about them when your own angry mob tries to murder them. Hypocrites. At least I hate cops all the time. Here's how much conservatives think "blues lives matter"... https://images.app.goo.gl/pPC7heQc9zymDgL57

I'm always insanely pumped for the beginning of the season, but perhaps even more this year. I genuinely think this year we legitimately turn the corner. Aside from all the dead weight we got rid of, we are adding two top four defensemen and two top six forwards. Plus a full season of Vrana (and I maintain he's a considerable improvement over Mantha). AND I think by the end of last season Rasmussen and Zadina were really playing good. I'm super optimistic about this team.

The Mantha Trade: The gift that keeps on giving.

Agreed, I don't see any scenario in which NYR wins a Cup without BOTH Eichel and Zibinejad. And I don't really see why Buffalo would want him in return considering they're inevitably just going to have to trade him for a late 1st anyway. Seems to me that NYR 1st and Kakko are the real center pieces of a trade between those two teams and I think Raymond plus Detroit's 1st is a better starting point considering our pick will be higher and Raymond is just as good as Kakko.
-
The Sabres' starting ask is reportedly 4 assets equivalent to 1st round talent. Assuming that they'll eventually come down a bit, would any of you do this: To Detroit: Eichel To Buffalo: Veleno, Raymond, 2022 1st (top two protected).

Spoiler Alert! It was murder. They literally got away with murder. F*ck those scumbags.

Criminals, by virtue of being criminals, are under no obligation to follow the law and serve the public. Cops are, and too often don't. They're supposed to do the dangerous job they signed up for AND not be corrupt, authoritarian, sadists. It's not an either/or proposition. Lots of Americans have dangerous jobs. Only cops seem to get a free pass to be murdering psychos because of it.

Thank god for cellphones. Everybody knows their body cameras always just happen to stop working right before they kill a black guy while he's handcuffed.
-
Ken Holland signing Brendan Perlini lol. How has everyone not realized this guy blows yet?
-
I don't buy it. War stories are like fishing stories.
-
Love me some Chase Pearson. He's my darkhorse to make the team this year. Really see him as a Justin Abdelkader/Adam Erne type power winger at the NHL level.
-
Barely. Same as Christians. They're lesser forms of "people". I was a soldier, you'd think that would be close. But it really isn't. Soldiers have rules of engagement. They can't just kill whoever they want and then lie about it. Cops on the other hand...

I don't know if it's racist but it's definitely not true. Tons of lives don't matter. For instance, blue ones.

I don't think we'll draft any higher than 10th next year. And even in really deep drafts you don't often get top end centers 10-15th. I think that we're stuck with what we have (or UFAs) for better or for worse barring some kind of Brayden Point type thing.
-
Until we draft a decent center for the first time since Dylan Larkin. Seriously, who is our top rated center prospect now? Veleno? Neiderbach? Woof.
-
Just read an article on The Athletic saying that TO has a ton of forwards under contract as well after the signings of Kase and Ritchie. I'm guessing Tatar goes elsewhere.
-
Wrong. Rule 34 dictates that if it exists, there is porn of it.
-
Thank god it's not South Beach. They'd both drink themselves out of the league in six months time.
-
I would definitely bring him back on a 1-2 year deal for low AAV. He had a solid season last year so it's not like he's washed up. He'd help our offense, have trade value, and he plays the right way. Veleno-Larkin-Vrana Bert-Suter-Fabbri Tatar-Ras-Zadina Namestnikov-Gagner-Smith/Pearson

Sounds like his dad was jacking off in the toilet and his mom jumped in front of it at the last second. How are you not getting this? My point, again, is that we won't. And I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is. Are you?
-
We keep the receipts dork. You implied that a top five pick was likely, not just a possibility.
-
Still dodging. Still a coward. Gonna take the bet or not? Put your money where your mouth is or shut up. I swear if I ever get the opportunity to meet you I'm going to buy you a beer, dump it on your head, and watch you do nothing.
