I agree. He can still be a scorer, even a good scorer, but still use his size and speed more. I agree with the folks that say he's not a "power forward" and shouldn't be expected to play like one. I think he'd be completely misutilizing his talent if he was down in front of the net banging and crashing. But I see no reason why he couldn't play a game like Blake Wheeler, or James Neal (hopefully without the penalties). Neither of them are Andrew Ladd, but they are still noticeable each shift. Another year in GR will do him a lot of good.

I think Hank looked alright. Seemed to be moving well. And Abby played a good game. But Nyquist was still on summer vacation so that line was nonexistent. Zetterberg will be fine.

They're doing 3 on 3 tomorrow night regardless of score. Must not be an every game thing. I don't know the league's rhyme or reason behind it though.

He scored well in the ahl. He's good around the crease and IMO he's an underrated passer.

Don't get me wrong, Ferraro didn't look bad or anything. He was fine yesterday. I just like Callahan's game tonight.

Callahan has looked really good tonight too. I don't think he looks any worse, and maybe a little better, than Ferraro did yesterday.

I don't care about his play in the defensive zone. He rarely plays there. None of our third pair guys do, and very few third pair guys around the league do. I want my third pair puck mover, whoever it is (Smith, Ouellet, Kindl, Jensen) to score points. Facilitate offense. Nobody has a problem letting Dekeyser bail Green out in the D-zone. Why? Because Green scores. So why not let Quincey bail out whoever he plays with? Scoring matters. For a long time everybody forgot about that because Babcock didn't seem to care. But it does matter.

I'm not suggesting they should hand him a roster spot based on tonight's performance or anything. But his strength is supposed to be that he contributes offensively. And tonight he's done that. And hasn't been scored on. I'd say that's a decent night for Jakub.

I mean, Kindl obviously isn't mike Green. But he hasn't been scored on and moved the puck well on two goals. What more do you want out of a third pair defenseman?

I think he's got better upside than sheahan. He's really looked good.

Dude, we get it. You were right. I thought you didn't even mention Jensen and it turns out that not only did you mention Jensen, you mentioned a bunch of guys.

It's not spin. You totally mentioned him as the 7th defenseman one time. Another time you said Kindl should be, and if not Kindl then Jensen. And the third time you said Ouellet/Jensen/Sproul. So again, props, you totally called it. One of the four guys you mentioned as a 7th defenseman had a good game last night and you knew it all along. I had silly old Smith as my 7th. What do I know? You were right and I was wrong. You definitely mentioned Jensen...as well as three other guys.

I am owning up to it. I said you didn't mention Jensen, when you did. You had him penciled into Brian Lashoff's old spot. You clearly recognized his potential (on one of your many different lineups). On another one you had Sproul in that spot. If he had had a good game last night you could have gloated about that. I said you didn't mention him, and I was wrong. You had quite clearly given him his rightful place as 7th defenseman on one of your lineups. And now you're vindicated.

If Leftwinger mentioned Martin Frk as the 13th forward in one of the 2,000 line combos he posts each season, and Frk ended up scoring a goal two months later, you can be your ass he'd gloat about being right on that too. Lol. As I said before, throw enough s*** at a wall and some of it will stick. You're absolutely right though. You recognized so much talent in Nick Jensen that you let him sit in the press box in SOME of the roster scenarios you dream up. What an eye for talent!

Or the person who did it gets caught, and rats on the person who told him/her to do it? That seems like a pretty likely scenario given that it happens CONSTANTLY.

The League has every right to suspend him pending an investigation. It's in the CBA. The one that the toothless NHLPA agreed to. What are they going to do, throw a fit about it and lose to Bettman like they always do? The NHL isn't a court of law. They don't have to be objective. If he's bad for business, they can suspend him whether he's been found guilty or not.

I cannot believe the NHL is allowing this guy to play right now. They should probably start circling the wagons pretty soon. This is poor brand management at the very least.

The fact that evidence of an ongoing criminal investigation could be removed from custody and "delivered" to one of the parties in the dispute is troubling enough. That's just really, really, bad. Probably not for Kane. I mean, it's doubtful he tampered with anything. But simply put, you should be allowed to leave evidence of a crime on ANYBODY's doorstep. How that is possible is beyond me.
